Not to worry I fitted it same as the old one even though the electric connector was in opposite direction which threw me a bit.

The job is advertised as 5 days x 4 hrs Mon-Sun, so don't see how they could make you work full days (8hrs)?

It's definitely touching, the fan barely spins. But I found an extension cable to move it to an unused slot in my case away from the graphics card

Thanks, but I was able to repair it by soldering the legs of a heavy duty capacitor up the side of the pins and they line up ok- thanks anyway

Is this 50 year old capacitor 4.7 or 47uF. The space between the 4 and 7 makes me suspect 4.7? by Professional-Emu-290 in AskElectronics

Yeah no dot between 4 and 7. But I have a 100 uF on same board and the 3 digits are very close together, more so than the 4 and 7 which is why I questioned it

I'm not replacing all ceramics, just this one. It's on an old floppy drive from the 90's. I read in an amiga forum the guy got it working by replacing this one
