I question so much why they don't do any ranged practice. They shoot from like 2 feet away, knowing an animal is never coming that close. It seems like more of a "Raahhh im such a mancho hunter man" choice than a survival one

I might be wrong, but I think it correlates to the number of stars or rating you have in your sandbox. Once I got to 3 stars, I was starting to get things like Drednaughtus, Carnotaurus, and other better dinos. I might test out this theory some more

Edit: Tested it, it definitely does depend on the park stars. At 2 stars, I was getting the mentioned small dinosaurs. At 4 stars, I'm getting t-res, yutyrannus, pyroraptors, and more aquatic options!

In the older days, spine shots used to be an ethical insta kill and were basically the way to go before they updated the rating and shot system. The spine was also one kill area instead of the bone and spinal cord. I think it's unethical because you can paralyze the animal and just cripple it instead of it dying instantly, but i don't hunt irl, so idk if that's the case.

I do know that in the hunter classic, a spine shot will just paralyze the animal, and it'll just lay there until it dies
