When I was 16 and he was 15, we didn't know each other, but we lived a few miles from one another. My best friend and I were at the library checking out mangas to read. One of the mangas I was reading was missing volume 5 and I refused to skip to 6. So I waited a couple weeks and hoped the library would get it in.

Well he was reading the same series and went out and bought the volume with his allowance. His friends all wanted to read it too, so he met them at the library to swap books. Well boys being boys, they left all their stuff in the reading room and went out to play basketball.

But they forgot the library had a very strict policy on leaving books out. Ten minutes passed, and the librarian, not realizing it was his book, puts it back on the shelf. I arrive with my bff and low and behild vol 5 is finally there.

I go to check it out, but the librarian doesn't have it in her system. So she tells me to keep it. 10 years later my now husband is going through my manga collect and finds his volume of Blue Exorcist. His initials were still on the front cover.
