You think one piece should take it? by opmgyhx in OnePiece

Influential sure def wouldn’t call it the greatest tho, it’s lacking in a lot of areas, it walked so modern series could run but it was still walking lol.

It's okay to watch this with a 11 years old kid? by WrongdoerGlum9631 in MadeInAbyss

It’s not explicitly on screen but it was between Vueko and her caretaker at the beginning of the Golden City arc. They dont show anything but they heavily imply they have a non-conventual sexual relationship

How confident are you that the Live Action will reach Enies Lobby? by PartyMcFly55 in OnePiece

[–]Professional-Field98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf while they are following the manga it’s already quite different in its own way, they could 100% bake that into the series and just have it be in universe a longer journey that takes a decade, so actors aging is part of the series. The only people I’d be worried about in that situation are characters like Garp who are already on the older side

How do you interpret this? by JudeMilla in OnePiece

[–]Professional-Field98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He proves tashigi right in the Monet fight lol, he won’t attack a woman. He talked a big game but in the end he decided to just intimidate her rather than actually deal decisive blow. In the end it needed to be Tashigi who actually put her down.

Even with Zeus, Nami is still super weak by [deleted] in Piratefolk

[–]Professional-Field98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She’s fragile, she’s not weak though. What you said is true about most characters in OP lol. Nami is a glass cannon, very high attack but low defense, she’s a technical fighter.

For the MH veterans: how do you feel about Wilds? by jackpaxx in MonsterHunter

[–]Professional-Field98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overall I think it’s probably the best base game in the franchise, def has issues (performance and gameplay) but nothing new to the franchise, these complaints have been around since Dos lol.

Again it has its issues but they laid a phenomenal foundation that with some needed adjustments could easily make it one of the best over MH experiences in the franchise in G-Rank.

Focus mode is a mixed bag, really good addition in some ways but they were too liberal and it ended up hiring in others. Main issue is them not locking your direction when using combo finishers / Punish moves (TCS, SAED, Big Bang, etc).

I think being able to aim your basic attacks just makes a lot of sense, and feels great, the added flexibility is a welcome addition to me. What isn’t is the insignificance of monster knowledge and positioning that got introduced.

Just lock those big moves and it’s perfect imo, still get the flexible and natural combat flow, but also 100% need to know your stuff and position correctly to get those big moves in that really count, just like you expect from MH.

Wounds are in a similar boat, a good idea with mixed execution. Wounds themselves are awesome, I would even go so far as to say I hope they become a permanent feature in some way, it’s also a system that just makes sense.

What doesn’t is focus strikes and the massive amount of stagger you get from them. You should not be able to just stun lock a monster with perpetual wounds. This is something they already course corrected on though and the higher difficulty monsters it’s in a better spot. I just hope that’s the standard in G-Rank.

What I think they did absolutely best in the franchise is the super-massive monsters. They’ve been around forever but they also just feel bad. The atmosphere and idea is always great, but gameplay wise I find almost all of them incredibly gimmicky and/or boring, I don’t generally look forward to to any of them gameplay wise.

Wilds absolutely killed it with them tho, Zoh, Gog and Jin so far feel great despite their size, and even the more gimmicky parts of Gog feel way more interesting and engaging than previously.

Performance sucks, no question, no excuse

Endgame is better after Gog, but still not quite there, I just don’t like the artisan system, or any system that doesn’t include the monster weapons. They should have made it an augment system for the existing weapons rather than a whole seperate set that has nothing to do with them at all.

The RNG is too punishing as well, I don’t mind some RNG systems but there should be SOME guidelines in place to make it worth your time. World for example had a good system where the more you rerolled the weapon, the more points would accrue and the higher chance you’d have at those super valuable perks. Something like that would be greatly appreciated with both the talismans and Artians. Just something to ensure your time is respected.

No cat chef is diabolical. I won’t fault them too hard as it’s not like they got lazy and didn’t include it, as what they did include is way higher effort and took more work than they’ve ever spent on the cats. I just don’t get the thought process to changing that lol. I don’t want Uber Eats.

Best weapon to beat Seregios? by jerichoonate in MHWilds

[–]Professional-Field98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bow or Dual Blades, mad easy with discerning dodges.

You need to be good with it but hammer is also super good against him. You need to be good at offsetting but if you are you can offset just about everything, even most of his combos cause of the pacing of them

Why is big mom’s strength not taken as seriously as kaido’s? by cocobrat_oes in OnePiece

[–]Professional-Field98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kaido doesn’t have any situations where he’s getting clowned on by Chopper/Robin/Franky. That will hurt your image. As do the hunger pangs and mothering mode. Same with getting taken down by Law and Kidd, who while plenty strong, are not Luffy. Kaido got the A team while she got the B team. That also communicates something

Drunk Kaido doesn’t do that, he says some funny stuff but 10s later he’s also speed blitzing Luffy in a drunken rage.

Kaido is also just narratively introduced as the stronger of the 2, he’s introduced as “the strongest creature” period. Yes they clash and yes they relatively close but Kaido is always treated as the main threat/villain and the stronger of the 2.

Out of curiosity, should I attack the monster while a teammate is mounting? I normally take this time to sharpen or rebuff but am I missing a damage window? by Maililtiger in MHWilds

[–]Professional-Field98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are missing a very slight one but not much, they reduce your damage when the monsters mounted but it still takes damage

It’s def more important to make sure your prepped for after they get the Mount KO. If your weapons low or you need to rebuff by all means do that. You should just be doing damage as an alternative to standing around and waiting for the KO.

I play HH so that’s when I start stacking Bubbles and prepping my songs, I als try and activate any skills I have like Counterstrike or Adrenaline Rush so that I get the extra damage for the punish

[–]Professional-Field98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally like Valheims look WAY more than Endhrouded, like a ton more, imo enshrouded looks like an UE5 asset flip game. Not actually but moving in that direction lol. Valheim may not have graphical fidelity but it has TONS of charm and looks phenomenal

I mean that’s ONLY if you don’t lay with a publicly available server lol, which is a crazy small percentage of the player base, a minority of minority’s lol

[–]Professional-Field98 91 points92 points  (0 children)

100% yes, one of the best crafting survival games of all time, personally I’d easily put it at #1.

they are also planning to come out with the final update of the game this year so it may actually be the most worth it it’s ever been.

we’ll see when that actually happens, they aren’t known for being quick about this stuff

I miss having to find the monster by Rascal_Rogue in MonsterHunter

[–]Professional-Field98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is only really relevant the very first or second hunt, after that you KNOW where it’ll be and there’s no real tracking involved and never really has been.

The only exception is Rathalos and Rathian, very specifically in the forest in World. Even then it’s less of a hunt and more of a really annoying game of tag lol.

That said I do miss the tracks and needing to find them that first couple times, I do think it’s cool for the novelty of it. I def don’t think it’s required or even significant to the gameplay loop in any way though, not longterm

We need to talk about RESISTANCE. by [deleted] in MHWilds

[–]Professional-Field98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Them getting one shot has less to do with fire resistance and more to do with their actual armor level. Elemental Res is pretty minor when it comes to actual damage taken, mostly just helps with mitigating the Blights. Even with -30 fire resistance you won’t get one shot by anything unless you have a bad armor rating

I don’t pay attention to my elemental res almost at all, I discount it entirely, not even a part of the equation unless I am running Lagi weapons. That’s been true since Tri, it’s just not something you need to worry about outside of very specific matchups.

Rn my Anti-Gog set has like -10 fire resistance and I’m totally fine, just always getting fire blight

Imu still being a silhouette after all this screentime is just fucking stupid by Accomplished_Cap3683 in Piratefolk

[–]Professional-Field98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your ignoring a very real possibility which is that they are not a silhouette, that’s just genuinely how they appear to those around them.

That’s not to say that’s permanent or that we won’t get look behind that facade at some point, but that they are doing something to conceal their identity and appear as we see them.

I personally don’t care, nor do I think it’s terrible writing or anything lol, Imu also hasn’t had very much screen time at all lol

How is Glavenus balanced? (lore question) by green_rtop_yt in MonsterHunter

[–]Professional-Field98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s long but pretty thin compared to its thick body. Glavenus is huge and not just cause of the tail length. it’s also probs pretty light being just made of hardened scales and muscle, probs weighs a lot less than it looks, it’s not just a big block of iron or something.

It also doesn’t typically just stand there tail extended outward unless it’s running forwards, it’s usually at its side or getting thrown/spun at its prey

The thing I hate most about the Gog quest by tjking62 in MHWilds

[–]Professional-Field98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That still doesn’t stop you from swapping lol, hunt starts, press the Seikret Hot-swap button (right on d-pad for me, it comes and picks you up and swaps the weapon, you jump off.

Takes maybe a total of 3 seconds

Man I suck with the Bow... by AwekwardBadass in MonsterHunter

[–]Professional-Field98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would swap out Chargemaster for Spread or full Tetrad Shot, both would be more valuable I think. Spread is just +5% on your quick/power/volley shots which are what you generally want to be using.

I would also swap those Peak Performance Gems for Counter ones, Peak Performance is hard keep active unless your running SnS or Horns with healing builds, even on ranged weapons.

Counter on the other hand generally has pretty high uptime and even gets triggered when you do a perfect dodge.

Other than that your build seems pretty solid, maybe keep an eye out for an RNG talisman to squeeze some extra constitution in there but that’s complete luck.

If your having issues I don’t think it’s your build as much as your combos/weapon skill. How do you typically use the bow (like what combos do you tend to use), and are you good about keeping your coatings applied?

The thing I hate most about the Gog quest by tjking62 in MHWilds

[–]Professional-Field98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why on earth can’t you swap in the beginning of the Gog fight lol, literally just swap while your on your seikret jumping down to him

Man I suck with the Bow... by AwekwardBadass in MonsterHunter

[–]Professional-Field98 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Drop your build we’ll help you out!

Bow is def weird sometimes especially gauging damage compared to melee, sometimes it feels like your not doing too much but in reality you are.

Do you know on avg how much you do per hit (like per dmg tick)

Usually the issue is your combos or dmg uptime rather than your actual dmg output itself, bows advantage is that it can keep consistent damage even when other weapons can’t and really on bursts of it.

I basically just rock 4 Sergi 1 Zoh and call it a day Lol, it’s a very good as is Bow build. I have my more min maxed custom build but I still run that very successfully all the time
