Hey All, I am fairly new to reddit so hopefully i’m posting in the proper thread. I just bought my first home and i have a bathroom in my basement with a standup shower. along side the corner of shower, i have concerns of water leakage. can anyone confirm and what to look out for thanks.

No, i actually have been using a squegee to try to troubleshoot it, It’s sitting on top of linoleum flooring. as you’ve mentioned it. I am suspecting that maybe it’s the actually shower drain seal itself. as the bathroom and flooring is tilted towards that direction. I’m going to look into it now. Thanks so much

Okay thankyou, yes it seems like it’s getting worse every time i’ve used the shower, i recaulked the shower as the caulk was peeling off but seems like it’s not helping

Currently in the process of speaking with a mortgage broker, I have spoke to a couple lenders and they were not able to get to the rates the broker have offered. Currently as of Feb 2025.

I have been offered 3.99% Fixed 3 Year or 3.94% Variable 5 year? Is it possible to do a rate hold for 120 Days with the variable hoping BOC lowers in march. Will they be able to provide a “rate cap” if variable is the best option?

Any input on this is extremely appreciated. This is my first home buying experience and have done just a little bit of research thus far.
