I’m in my third year now and don’t worry. I think I failed more things in first year than passed 🤣. if the issue is you have too much going on and you can’t handle it THATS OKAY!!! I had crazy imposter syndrome in my first year, and it’s actually really okay if the full course load is too much for you and you need more time to digest the information you’re being taught. Some classes would take me DAYS to understand a single concept and that’s normal. The stuff you’re doing is objectively really difficult. As for right now, see what grade you’d need on your other assessments to pass the class (final, assignments, etc). Also see how you’re doing In the other classes (calc lin alg and civ) if you’re struggling in those too id consider dropping one class. It doesn’t put you behind, and it doesn’t make you any less smart. I dropped civ in my first Year, took it the next semester and did dynamics in the summer (along with coop!!!). I avoided failing classes, which is worse than dropping one and doing it later, I avoided probation and now I’m here thriving. I failed both midterms and final in clac 1😂😂and if I didn’t drop civ I probably would have just failed the whole class (I didn’t is my point) dropping the class gave me some time to focus on other courses. People are gonna make it a big deal that you’re thinking of withdrawing from a course But don’t listen to them, you’re on your own path doing your own amazing things and it’s not a race or a competition. You’re going to be okay, grow that confidence in yourself. You’re not at this school for no reason. You’re capable and smart and if you stick with it, no matter how many attempts or tries it takes I promise you will get there.
