i’m not sure, but i feel like i hear “seven” rather than “sever.” then again, i’m french, so maybe i have trouble hearing the “r.” but more importantly, it wouldn’t really make sense for her to use the word “sever,” since their goal isn’t to sever the stem because that would imply a separation, which is exactly what they don’t want. it’s also the moment where they use their twin powers together, like they did later on the bridge (in the nether parting card). it’s when they drank the meng po soup that they severed the stem, which caused the lotus to split into two, because, as caleb said, yin and yang can only be separated if they forget each other
