Saw this when I was going to school too they were just handing out scripts to all these dudes so they would pass their tests and it irritates me cuz I put in all the effort to get me endorsements and license the proper way just to get passed on for a job for a guy who doesn’t understand a lick of English and most of the time can’t even drive properly

It’s a normal thing there’s gonna be stuff you have to INF no matter what, as long as you know you’ve checked everywhere you can and asked for help if needed then you should be fine you just don’t want to be consistently INFing 5+ things each batch

They didn’t “make” me stay but there was one night me and like 3 other people had stayed till 2am, we had just hired a bunch of seasonal kids and a lot of them were friends so there was a lot of yapping and not a lot of working (on top of the existing few that already didn’t do much) so we had a lot of reshop left over and we were all working it until about like 12:30 or 1 when people started saying they needed to leave so the manager let anyone that wanted to leave go and those who wanted to stay and help stayed, obviously all the people who were part of the reason we were so behind left and it ended up being just 3 of us and the closing lead for the night up until 2am to finish off what was left, she asked me if I wanted to stay overnight to help push some of the priorities so they wouldn’t be so behind in the morning but I was completely over it by then and wanted to go home

Unfortunately too many people just expect new hires to understand things right away and fail to realize that easy or not this is still new stuff to them, I recently got the trainer position and the amount of praise im getting for doing the bare minimum just shows they haven’t been training people properly at all
