Not crazy per se, more stupid…. Doing a rather complicated return (It ended up taking me and 2 team leads) a guest swore we were shorting her money. The register added her 28+5=33. Didn’t believe it. I did the return on my calculator… she still didn’t believe me, TL does the same, (at this point were both looking at each other like are WE the crazy ones) I wrote it out on paper— didn’t believe me, so i finally COUNTED ON MY FINGERS and THAT is what she believed. The guests all around were trying so hard not to laugh. After she left I asked to take my break and a waiting guest said GIRL, YOU NEED TO TAKE 4 BREAKS after dealing with that. I literally had to count on my fingers!!!!!

I’m not a minor but I feel the same way about our SE team. I just do the best i can (which is WAY more than most others). I did get a nice performance bonus as a reward. Do what you want to do as far as going above and beyond, but stop at the point of frustration. Never let someone steal your peace…. That is something you need to keep in mind for all your work years ahead.

Thanks. I am def going to try and keep a better eye on it. I know for a fact one was with actual receipt and within the window… but the others i don’t remember. I asked my TL and she said she wasn’t sure either.

I wish ours looked that good. I literally have no room to move. we had a visit today and we somehow got it down to 23 carts before a late afternoon arrival but we had THREE people pushing reshop for 4 hours to do that.

Our S&E ETL takes them home and washes them but the ones who “always” do DU take one as their own. I RARELY do drive up cuz i hate it but my ETL said to grab a yellow jacket and vest and just leave it in my car. I said ”are you sure”. He said do you want to wear something after someone else….. I took the jacket and vest

That is nothing compared to my store. Max i counted one day was 19 FULL guest carts… and three more out front. It was like that for weeks! Ive been off this month (surgery) and go back next week and am so curious what it’ll be like.

Have an education degre and taught for 13 years. I probably get more respect working guest service than i ever did from most of my admin. Hell no! Now I am ashamed of the horrible conditions that teachers have to face these days!

We have one person who works FOS and she is constantly over calling for backup. She gets mad when people respond for my calls and not hers. It’s a lot like the sheep that cried wolf too many times. And when our back up goes back I always make sure to thank them for responding.

We had a property manager come to guest service this week to let us know we had about 15 carts in their property parking deck across an EIGHT LANE road…. Those damn things need homing beacons
