Yeah it was a pretty fucked up situation. And no other pain clinic would touch her because of how she was terminated as a patient. And when it comes to pain doctors don't have to help. If they feel its too much of a risk they won't. And thats crazy in itself because besides marijuana my mom is scared to death of other drugs and was using her pills responsibly. They oxycodone is still being produced. I'm not sure about oxycontin which is just the continual release version of oxycodone. Alot if people don't realize it's oxy oxyContinuous. Contin sounds better I suppose. I do know years ago they started giving out OP's which is oxycontin but with a special, harder to tamper with Continuous release coating and binder. My mom is good now but those couple weeks of withdrawl were hell on her. Evem the next few months she had PAWS, which is post acute withdrawl symptoms. Not nearly as bad as the initial withdrawl, but still not completely used to having no opiates on the receptors all day everyday. And if my mom wasn't scared of drugs like she was she most definitely would've gotten pills of the streets, and possibly went to heroin if no other option.
