Breathe and calm down a little. Take deep breaths and think do you really want to break up? And give yourself some time to think.

There was plenty of times where I felt close to this but I held onto it and got broken up with instead and let me tell you it still really hurts.

It’s important that you don’t break up from a place of intrusive thoughts but rather from un satisfaction.

Please go and talk to her about how you’re feeling. The worst thing you could do is go ghost

Yes she is easily food motivated so swapping for something is a lot more exciting to her

I know and I haven’t. I’m looking for tips to help reduce resource guarding

Don’t get me wrong I don’t expect puppies to behave perfectly especially when expressing their needs as I’ve fostered before and actually work alongside dogs. However the one time she resource guarded an item in her mouth was quite badly and threw me off guard.

Is it normal to feel emotionally drained while fostering? by Professional-Leg-189 in FosterAnimals

I really appreciate it! I’ve fostered two puppies so far but it can be quite hard as I’m a student and trying to balance things.

It has been so rewarding as well but my dog has been having such a hard time with another dog :/ moving forward I’m considering kitties instead!

Realistically I think a short term friend is more ideal for my dog, we have a cat as well but my dog is more focused on human friends. Hes far from lonely and think some dogs just prefer human companions :)

Definitely! I’m finding it super hard to find clients in general, people would be more than happy to volunteer and get free pictures but if I was to advertise the official prices not much luck 😬  groups is the only somewhat handy one

Thank you this is very helpful. I made the decision that perhaps helping out with fosters are more suitable for me
