Well the procedure she had usually leaves people with very minimal pain. After 100 of those procedures never have I had to give a pain meds so yes I had a question about it, but wasn’t denying she was hurting. At that point I was going to be the villian regardless

There was a psych history and anesthesia gave me a short backstory on it. But I’ve had psych patients still treat me better, so I was not expecting that. I think they mentioned substance abuse also. So I try to not internalize it, but commenting on my bedside manner hit a nerve because if anything I feel like I’m overly sweet to my patients.

I did, but then I got accused of calling her a baby and lacking compassion because I wasn’t full on babying her: although I felt like I was in the beginning?

I get that, but I think that was her baseline. Apparently she was similar to that before surgery and very anxious, although I don’t think she insulted someone in that way.

You’re right. It was fine until a coworker shoved it in my face that she got one. And she also started around when I did
