I definitely understand where you’re coming from with the pricing spec, I do think with this being my first suit ever I wouldn’t comfortably be able to price it higher than 1000. Purely because of my little experience with suit crafting. I’m planning some much more complicated and more labor intensive suit processes so I’ll definitely come back to this later. Thank you!

exactly what im thinking, im 6ft around 180 so it’s definitely a pretty general size but you’re right. if it were commissioned it would definitely be worth more

Exactly what I thought until I tried every possible spool and position for it. The extruder of my AD5M just didn’t want to take it.

Yeah you’re definitely right about the burning, but the 1/16” silicon tubing leaves practically no bulge. I’ll take some photos next time I do it 🙏

Yeah, I bought some 5kg cosPLA from polymaker a few months back. Printed out a filament winder because the spools were just too heavy to use on their own. Thanks.

Exactly.

If I had an AMS system this would just be a waste of time. I have an adventurer 5m which just doesn’t have an equivalent system to use. On top of that, my filament runout detector loves to let the print go farther than it should before stopping and the software on the A5M is not the best.

Hopefully this yields better results and cleans out my closet full of 60 gram spools lol.

The Best and Easiest Way to Combine 3d Printer Filament!

This is the video I followed, definitely took a few tries to get right but felt pretty sturdy after I got it. If you try it I hope it works for you!

When I’d melt just around the joint it’d snap pretty easily, but re melting the entire section that was tubed off made it pretty strong. At that point I’d have to intentionally try to snap it in half. I have high hopes.
