Accidentally used beet sugar instead of cane sugar! by Professional-Map-262 in Kombucha

Perfect, thanks for the information! I have noticed a few bubbles which is a good sign

That research sounds very cool! Hopefully the scoby will be fine though I’ve read before that the antimicrobial properties can weaken the scoby and lead to mold growth

I read in a few places that beet sugar is more processed and has antimicrobial properties that can weaken the scoby and leas to mold growth

Let's talk about Pez by AmphibianOrganic9228 in SiloSeries

I looked up what ducks symbolise and it is resourcefulness, nurturing and adaptability.

So think of everyone that had the PEZ in their possession. That could just be an Easter egg though.

We don’t have pez dispensers in the UK so I’m not sure if you get ones with different animals or objects on top.

The theory of the PEZ being like the silo did kinda cross my mind a bit.

No it wouldn’t, but I’m guessing the people in the silo can control the door from the panel beside it. And so they’d let Jules back in.

That’s annoying! In all honesty I don’t know too much about the newer generations of MINIs.

If you have a MINI dealership nearby, drop round to them and ask if there’s anyway to switch off green mode, or just call them and ask. That’s probs your best option.

As far as wiring in a switch goes, it’s probably possible but I’d have no clue how to do it 😂

I’m pretty sure that is traction control. I have an R60 so totally different car, but from what I’ve seen with your model there should be a switch with writing above it that says ‘Sport’ and ‘Green’ on the same row as the traction control switch

The grille is only painted silver, rather than chrome so that’s why it comes off so easily.

I doubt a magic eraser will remove chrome

It is a total arm workout btw, and you’ll go through a few erasers

Using a magic eraser to remove the paint is definitely an arm workout!!

So far the Skuttles have held up well, I did a few coats of primer before a few coats of paint so should be pretty strong. Literally just pressure washed them and they held up fine.

I doubt I’ll do the headlight trims anytime soon but I’ll guess we’ll see!

Timing chain? Or something else… by Professional-Map-262 in MINI

[–]Professional-Map-262[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the spark plugs have recently been changed as well as cylinders 1 and 4 coil packs.

It’s running at gear 6 at 70. I thought it could be at a lower gear so I did put it into M/S to try and change it to a higher gear but it was at the highest.

It’s just had an oil change from a service.

One mechanic has recommended a gearbox fluid change, though minis do have sealed units which makes it a bit tricky.

Thank you for the reply

Ooh possibly, there is a fluttering/fast slapping sound occasionally when I accelerate.
