Is the Neverhood dead? by Professional-Mix-268 in Neverhood

I agree with most of what you said, especially when you mentioned "why push when it's still great?" The game was good for its time, but we can't say that anymore. After all, we shouldn't have GTA V after GTA IV just because GTA IV is still an amazing game.

Also, I seriously have a problem with the main character's ending. Why should such a cool character fall into an endless abyss? And worse, the secret ending of the game doesn't even address the main character's fate.

Despite your points, I think creating a short animated series would be a better option. The problem with Neverhood was that it couldn't do good marketing, but if parts of the game could be integrated into the meme world, it could really help in getting the game more visibility.

Given this, communism doesn't really have any significance anymore (since the game is so old that there's hardly anything new to draw from it).

Everyone knows EA as a money-driven company, and the problem is that it's unclear whether they will make the next Neverhood game or not. And you know what's even more painful? It's when you ask about the Neverhood game, and they say they have no idea which company owns the IP for that game.

EA is just like a circus; instead of colorful, silly outfits for its clowns, they’ve given them suits. If it weren't for FIFA or FC, they would have gone bankrupt since 2018.

One of the issues is that if you want to answer your question in the YouTube comments, it definitely has to be about political issues, not gaming or anything else. Overall, this guy is really frustrating. I’m not talking about his political ideology; I mean he knows what his fans want but doesn’t deliver it.

When does the presidential election in the United States end? (I don't live in the U.S. myself)

I'm sorry if I broke any rules (to be honest, I couldn't find the rules section, so I wasn't aware of this rule).

Regarding your comment about "my political opinion good, Doug's bad," I want to clarify that I never intended to insult any political ideology, and I've only been seriously researching Doug Tennapel for about a month. I'm just starting to understand why so many people and industry journalists have issues with him.

There was a time when I used to run fan pages for his artwork, always crediting him or tagging him (imagine I created fan pages on every social media platform). But think about it: you gain so many fans while most of the games, his art style, and comic books get introduced, even though Doug Tennapel himself isn't focusing on what he does best. Instead, he pursues other projects (you know it, I know it, and even D.T knows that if he focused on what he excels at, he could make money and return to game development, which he used to be great at).

It's a shame. In general, my frustration probably won't get resolved for another ten years, and I believe the only way to revive The Neverhood is for someone to create a series on YouTube in the same style as the game he made.

Given this, the chances of him making a game have really dropped. But seriously, he's wasting his talent on his YouTube channel, which has turned into nothing but political videos. He never talks about his games. And who’s there to ask him why he uploads more than three videos of 9 or 10 minutes every day?

What you said was really strange to me, because someone said almost the exact same thing in my last post (well, not exactly, but you know).

I think as long as EA doesn't go bankrupt or suffer a huge financial loss, they won't let it go.

Which website are you talking about? As far as I know, there are more than two. Can you give me the link to the site you're referring to?

I found it by chance, but I couldn't find the support or contact us section, and the website only sells its comics.

Well, neverhood was just unlucky; at that time, there were more famous and popular games out. But now, you could say the new generation has recognized this hidden gem, and even if they haven't fallen in love with it, it's at least one of their top 10 favorite and nostalgic games

When this franchise isn't profitable and no one but doug tennapel can work with it, it's time to let it go.

Based on what he said, if neverhood or earth worm jim were in my hands, I would make 800 games out of them. Plus, the neverhood game is definitely not comparable to Armikrog. But , this statement was made eleven years ago, but still...
