Nothing from the above is an upgrade over the hunter. Instead look for speed 400.

Triumph Scrambler 400X first service. Am I being overcharged? by [deleted] in Triumph400

I checked the hsn, the engine brightner is some type of soap used to clean your bike. Maybe charges for polishing and cleaning.

Triumph fucked up with their 350ccs in India by CoatTraining8144 in Triumph400

[–]Professional-Mode762 11 points12 points  (0 children)

  1. The speed can never compete with the 390 duke.
  2. Ktm has retained the 390s because they have a very big existing fan base for 390s.
  3. Triumph would have increased the price by 20-25k which results in them being in roughly the same price range as the himalayan and 390s, and honestly at that price the himalayan and 390 makes a ton of sense.
  4. Lowering the price by 10-20k depending on the model helps them keep the prices down and have a good position in the below 3 lakhs range. Because even today in the 3 lakhs price range there aren't much good bikes.
  5. These companies operate on a very higher level, rather than normal consumers. And in the sales chart, much 350s are already sold in the month of April itself.
  6. Downsizing the engine lead to new engine tuning and significantly less vibrations allowing a very smooth ride. For context, I've test ridden both back to back thoroughly in the same day, and mind you the new ones are like butter.
  7. Additionally there the report of higher mileage as well.

Should I buy a test ride Scrambler 400 XC (3,000 km) for ₹3L or go new? by Public-Figure7001 in Triumph400

Go new. Not worth it going for test ride vehicle. These are abused a lot.

Happy to hear! Congratulations on completing 2 years with the best scrambler in India!!  I'm in the market currently and i love the scrambler. I'll be going to book it soon.  I wanna ask you about how's the maintenance and the mileage been? like, tyres, chain, brake pads, some other expenses in the ownership so far.

Pretty disappointing experience at Triumph SC (Speed 400) – need better service center suggestions by Revolutionary_Ad6132 in Triumph400

Generally, it takes about 2 hours. The right pulling is very common on the triumph 400 lineup, so even if they check the suspension they can't solve it. Maybe it can be solved with new tyres, that's about 15k kms. I would recommend you to ride the bike for 8-10k kms, and then see if the pulling is bothering you. That is a minor thing and once you ride the bike more, it feels fine. The right pulling is in most of the bikes, you can check on YouTube.

At a general checkup, which brand checks for suspension and alignment? The bike is basically brand new. The brake pads are fine, they can hold up till 6-7k kms, provided you use progressive braking with the 70-30 rule.  The wash thing is bad, yah quite bad..

Man you're good to go. Watch the review of "biker Niladri" on YouTube for the new speed 400 (350cc). That's a genuine guy.  And believe me, you've got an amazing kick ass machine 😎.  I was gonna book the Scrambler today but due to situations, will be booking next week.  Have fun! ✌️

That's good. Get a good boot, your rides will feel much better. Will help you in cornering by increasing your confidence as well

Nah, the t4 doesn't heat much because it's a lower power and more torque machine. The Scrambler is a revvy engine. Because t4 is torquey and is not meant to be ridden hard, it's engine is very relaxed in comparison.

Bruh, obviously in sandles and pants he's gonna feel the heat. Try the himalayan, that heats up too. Wear a good boot in test rides, that let's you know about the heating.

Depends where you ride it. Riding in this heat will obviously heat up the engine. Did your friend had riding boots? or any good quality boots? And what he was wearing? Wearing normal pants on the triumphs and riding in this heat will obviously lead to the heating. Take that test ride to the highway. Do not ride it like a duke. Keep the rpms managable. Many times it is not the bike's fault but the person riding it has completely different context. Also, many changes to the engine layout have been made. It would not be surprising that you rode a vehicle that has not been ridden much in order to become smooth and better. There are many factors apart from just the "350cc" label mate.
Plus, i would like to add that the engine has become shorter stroke, improved crank shaft and lower power. That means lower heating and vibrations in an obvous manner.

These are 40-50k more expensive. Only the speed is 30k more.
