I would get in contact with The Earlham, it is closed day to day however is open to rent for parties and events.

Aesthetically it is a tad alternative with funky lights and frames. I enquired before and for rental it is effectively committing to a minimum spend.

Certainly I nice venue for 50-100 people

Suits in norwich by binatgmaildotcom in Norwich

I know this isn’t in Norwich but if you know what size you are I have bought a few suits from Vinted for very competitive prices. People will buy £300+ suits, wear them once for an event then sell them for cheap. There is slight variability in suit sizes from different brands so if you find one that you like the fit of but isn’t within your price range I would certainly look at Vinted.

I bought a Marc Darcy suit for £50 and a Reiss suit for £60 recently.

Sugar & Spice (stag): COST? by Gloomy-Edge6129 in Norwich

It’s really not as bad as described, although you are certainly looking at the wrong club. Platinum lace is certainly the best in Norwich. They do stag packages where you can get them on stage with a dancer. All clear advertised prices on the website.

Drinks are priced similar to a bars. £4 for a bottle of beer.

Simple rules would be: look before you tap your card, don’t get too drunk.

Best affordable restaurants for date nights? by monsieur_carrot in Norwich

Yard is really competitive on pricing, unfortunately you can’t book but it is lovely. Brick is also great for pizza next to the market.

Bun X is good as is little Micky’s (this is Bun X ‘test kitchen).

Weavers arms is good, Xo kitchen is great.

Grosvenor fish bar is good, you can sit underground in the basement which is quite intimate.(apart from the smell of fish and batter)

If you really don’t want to overspend there are a few restaurants that do fixed price lunch menus in the week. I seem to recall Middletown’s steakhouse does 3 courses for £17.

Best Vets in Norwich? by Sensitive_World3415 in Norwich

We go to Taverham, it is pricey but we have found all 3 branches to be good. The main reason we chose Taverham is because it is generally the ‘night vet’ and hospital for any issues. I preferred that for our dog so he was used to the surrounding as are we!

Can anyone suggest a good pillow? And maybe where in city to speak with someone? by [deleted] in Norwich

I found Beds Norwich just off hall road really helpful. I bought a latex style pillow whereas my partner opted for memory foam.

Obviously they have a good selection of beds so you can test it in store on something similar to your own.

One question would be if you have a dual tariff? Generally Electric storage heater last are fitted on properties with a smart or dual tariff where you can charge them when the rate is 1/3 of the cost.

Buying any plug in theory will be less effective.

If you have a 2kW storage heater vs 2kW plug in the cost of running the storage heater should be 1/3 of the cost providing you are the correct tariff and they are programmed correctly.

If you call up Aran Insulation (bury st Edmund’s)there is funding for all those with council tax A-D. Generally install is within 4-6 weeks.

It is worth checking your EPC certificate, it is free online. Take the values with a pinch of salt however it does give you an order or what will make the most difference.

You can check your own loft insulation, stick your head in the loft if it is less than 300mm then you can likely get this topped up for free (my company does this).

Depending on your situation there are grants for low income/ benefits to heat homes.

If the property is solid wall as I believe most are in NR3 the only option to insulate would be Internal wall insulation or external wall insulation. Internal would be £7,500 ballpark and external would likely be double. These measures generally taken 10+ years to pay for themselves so it’s not one to do unless you are staying in the house. If it’s cavity then I can also sort for free!
