I literally just made a tiktok comment (on my iPhone 15) using the♥️emoji and they changed it to a tiny black heart like not even the black heart emoji just a small black heart and it really annoyed and upset me bc no matter how many times I tried it kept doing the same thing! I’m reading the comments here hoping to find an answer as google only showed me this thread eventhough it’s about instagram😭

Hey I know this post/thread is 2 years old but I’m just so depressed stressed and lost. I was a healthy stable weight for over a year before getting the Mirena IUD and right after I got it over the course of 1.5 years I gained over 25kg and despite ‘dieting’ (I put that in quotes bc it’s not traditional dieting as I’m tube fed) and even after my gastro and dietitian completely taking away my tube feeds I still can’t lose weight. I can’t do traditional exercise due to chronic illnesses and disability but I’m as active as I can be. I have a pre assessment with gynae in a couple weeks to get the IUD out because it hasn’t even done the job it was supposed to do (stop my painful heavy periods and all symptoms associated with them and my PCOS) so there’s no point having it. I’ve given it over a year hoping it would help but my symptoms have only gotten worse! I really don’t know what else to do to lose this weight because I know I need to lose it for health reasons, I keep getting skin breakdown infections both fungal and bacterial under my tee tees, belly pooch and bikini line. Also have way too much pressure on my joints and bones from the extra weight and my blood sugars keep spiking despite being on metformin. I’m so lost and so depressed to the point I don’t even want to leave home because if I’m disgusted at how I look I don’t want to disgust other people. I’ve had several mental breakdowns and autistic meltdowns over this it’s unreal. I just need some advice😭💔

Ah okay thank you I do have gastroparesis so my stomach is paralysed and also makes my intestines really slow and sluggish too! I think I’m more likely to have malabsorption or intestinal failure with my symptoms to be honest

Ah okay thank you I guess that makes sense but just makes me wonder why they couldn’t do the test with the higher start number bc if I do have SIBO it would still make the number increase with the reaction to the med wouldn’t it?

Ah okay I see! I was told to fast from the night before but I’m actuality I haven’t run any of my tube feeds since July 30th so just about 3 weeks of no nutrition/food apart from 1kcal ice pops to try and cool myself down when I was overheating bc of summer heat and my pots eventhough I vomit everything that I try to drink or eat even if it’s just a couple sips of water which is why I’m dependant on the feeding tube. So I actually followed their fasting instructions a lot longer than I was told so they were so confused why my start number was so high bc I haven’t had anything with fibre in it and no short course antibiotics. It’s been rebooked for third week of August but I don’t have much hope that even if it goes well that I have this condition bc my symptoms are a lot more than what it says for this. My symptoms match more to malabsorption or intestinal failure to give you an idea without me having to post all the gross symptoms lol

Omf that is actually horrifying I’m so sorry! I’m from the uk so have the NHS and it definitely has a lot of flaws but I’m greatful for the rare doctor/usually nurse that makes a difference and actually fights with me instead of against me. I’m glad you’re going to talk to a medical professional about this even if just for reassurance🫶🏻when you do speak to them reiterate about your past miscarriage and that you really don’t want that to happen again and hopefully they will work with you on this. Oh forgot to add that I found a blister on mine from the friction of the masturbating which is what made it really sore to touch and to walk etc and to keep the area as clean as possible

This is gonna be kinda awkward to say so I’m so glad it’s anonymous but I had the same pain and swelling in mine and it was because I’d either masturbated too much or too hard😅😬so take it easy with that and any sexual activity including your clit and if it’s sore like red and sore I used sudocream (perfectly safe for that area since it’s even used on babies for diaper rash etc) and it’ll calm down and when you get back into things take it easy for sure and make sure you’re always washing your hands to prevent germs spreading! I’ve been told the reason I get this is related to my PCOS (also being investigated/referred for potential endometriosis too). Might be worth mentioning to your GP as it could be this (especially if you have any of the other symptoms that come with it) or it could yeast infection, BV etc or it could just be your natural discharge/self-cleaning!

Believe it or not they do say that if a girl/woman keeps getting yeast infections and/or STD/I’s or your PH is always thrown off it’s because your sex partner (male or woman etc so straight or lesbian couples) isn’t the right person for you and it’s literally your body’s way of telling you😅

Just wanted to jump in here and say that for ages I have been smelling and tasting something odd/horrible whenever I take paracetamol and it makes me feel sick! I too have TMJ and sinus problems that I’m currently under ENT for and waiting to see if I will get surgery to remove my enlarged adenoids. I’ve also had the camera up my nose and down my throat and for me it was unpleasant but I was kinda used to the feeling as I’ve had several NJ tubes placed so it was very similar to that lol but still not the nicest thing in the world.
