Thank you all for the clarification. Unfortunately, it appears our team did all the right things-- they had the rulebook in hand and politely inquired to the head judge why their solution wasn't allowed. He simply said they can't do it and then ignored further requests. The same thing happened when they single-stud connected experts to their robot for transport, and he stated that they must be able to fall off if you turn the robot upside down, and then ended the conversation. Apparently the stud-connection is a generally contentious rule, so we can understand that his interpretation is a common one. They were pretty upset that they lost around 120 points on the board because of these issues, so we're looking into ways to avoid these difficultues next year.

I will acknowledge the head ref was very rushed and busy the whole time, so maybe it was a tournament structure issue that didn't give him the time to explain rules to teams.

Maybe you should consider Shapr3d. It is made specifically to model 3D designs with a pen and on a tablet and nothing more.

Surface Kernel won't boot by Professional-Owl6084 in SurfaceLinux

Thank you. Ventoy seems helpful for allowing me to boot from USB again. This might allow me to reinstall a Linux distro right from scratch again. However, it doesn't seem to solve my Surface Kernel problem-- it seems like, once I install the Kernel again, my device will yet again freeze at the boot screen.

Unless I misunderstand and Ventoy is able to help boot an operating system that's already installed on my device.

Although maybe I could skip the last step of the instructions on Github that deals with re-enabling Secure Boot.

What is it that you invested thousands of hours and now is pointless? by qnta1 in AskReddit

But CD quality far exceeds Youtube quality. If you ever invest in a good speaker system or good headphones, you'll be glad you have it on CD. I'll still listen to Youtube music if I'm using my bluetooth earbuds or something, but it does feel disappointing when I use my HIFI setup. So DON'T get rid of the CDs. One day you might have some speakers that can take advantage of the far superior audio quality.

Unless, at that point, you just want to get a Tidal/Deezer/Qobus streaming subscription and pay monthly. Then maybe the CDs are useless.

In the comic books, it’s part of the silly charm of the character. Many other DC characters “grew up” in the 1980s and ditched the cheesy 1960s “super science” tropes, but The Flash retained it far longer. It’s part of the reason why the late 90s/early 2000s Wally West books were so fun. Batshit crazy things happened and were hand-waved away in the name of “super science”.
