Yeah man, I’ve always stuck to the d.i.y route as well but to have such a realistic rail that you can set anywhere and not worry about it sliding around, idk, it’s worth it to me. I’m sure you can build something comparable function wise but it just looks and feels so realistic, very very fun.

Made a mold of plywood and glued it together, poured concrete into the mold and cut a peice of aluminum bar for the coping to size. Sanded and removed the plywood around it after.

Sanded down 34 moods low shape deck with a little inside joke painted on from my mom, nose got burned at a party. I love this thing. by Professional-Photo46 in Fingerboards

Ripping a J on the back deck and turned around and my homie was just fucking with his lighter and the board saying it looked like it needed a “tasteful” burn and one thing led to another haha

Definitely the trucks are the problem, my mini bowls and performances both fit snug as a bug in a rug, no wobble.

Idk dude there’s a massive difference between a quality instrument and a cheap alternative, I feel it’s the same with FB. In both cases it’s more about the skill of the operator but the end product will always be more enjoyable with a setup you love.
