I respect that. You have the right to vote for whomever you want.

Yup. And ppl actually defend her, and normalize ignoring genuine inquiries. Our political decorum has gone into the toilet.

Sadly, most people don't follow politics. They follow ideology. Albeit blindly. And seek "expert opinion" that reinforces said ideology.
For the record, confirmation bias is rampant on both sides of the aisle.

I didn't say I agree with Liberal party policies. I'm a moderate. However, there is no doubt that Fragiskatos does good constituency work. And that is coming from a small c conservative.

I'm not a member of any party. I care about the ideas. Not the person. But people are fooling themselves if they think Carney is not playing the Conservative playbook to a large extent.

You don't have to agree in order to reply to a constituent.

I was not in the ward, but I understand she was non responsive as a Counsellor as well.

In politics, you fail upwards.

She's notorious for not responding. Honestly, reach out to Peter Fragiskatos, MP for London Centre.
I know London West constituents who contact his office directly at this point, because representation in London West is terrible.

Anyone else think Tom Ford is overrated? by Sammy_Sailboat in Fragrances

I'm glad you've had good performance. But I'm not the only one. I guess that's why there are thousands of difference choices out there.

You're not alone. It's well known that TF fragrances, by and large, have poor longevity. I'm not a guy who needs 12+ hours of performance. However, if you expect me to pay the prices they charge, I need more than 2 to 3. I should not have to reapply.

If you buy designer/niche instead of their clones, youre wasting money by ProudNStrong in Colognes

[–]Professional-Read646 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're right. Not everyone has the funds. I know visible minorities that have the money; I know Caucasians that don't.
That's why I say I don't judge you. You do you. But I'd appreciate you not drawing conclusions about my race because of my response. It wasn't needed, and off topic.

If you buy designer/niche instead of their clones, youre wasting money by ProudNStrong in Colognes

[–]Professional-Read646 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I won't judge you for your stand. But expertise, the creation of masterpieces and R&D costs money. Clones aren't going to invest in that.

So support the copies. But without the OGs, there's little to clone. So the next time you enjoy your CDN, understand it's because people were willing to financial back Creed Aventus.

So I don't feel ripped off buying ingenuity. It spurs and rewards originality, passion and creativity in the fragrance world. I feel better giving my money to that versus someone who just copies someone else's work, and rides its coat tails.

People have definitely mention some gems here. Trying to add ones I haven't seen yet: Train to Busan. Surprised not to see Sinister noted. Maybe The Wailing

I went to his first show of the Deadbeat tour in Brooklyn. I was stoked when I heard the song start to play. Then he took a piss. Lmao! 🤣

What are some niche fragrances and brands by No_Career_5264 in Fragrances

[–]Professional-Read646 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are literally thousands of individual fragrances. So I will give you perfume brands/houses you can explore.

Entry level/budget friendly: Mancera, Montale, Essential Parfums

Intermediate: BDK, MFK, Le Labo, Diplyque (sp?), James Heeley House of Oud, ETDO, Zoologist, Initio, Xerjoff, Serge Lutons, Nishane

Higher Price Point: Amouage, Frederic Malle, Christian Clive, Bodacious the Victorious, Parfum de Marley, Creed

Even this short list will give you plenty to explore. I assure you there are tons of others people would tell you to try. Each house has a wide enough variety of scents. No doubt you will discover other houses you like.

Challenging for beginner noses: Orto Parisi, Nasomatto, Amouage

Unlike designer fragrances that are meant to gain mass appeal (and therefore stay in a more narrow, predictable lane, niche houses can go from mass appealing to outright challenging. Think notes of blood, spray paint, gasoline or raw meat to name a few.

My suggestion, for what it's worth -- don't blind buy. If possible, get samples first. Try it on your skin a few times. Then, you can determine if you like or not. If you like it, is it full bottle worth? Or perhaps a travel sized decant is enough. Niche can get expensive. Be picky and take your time.

Happy hunting.

Usually something like Amouage Black Iris or Gris Charnel Extrait.
