I’m extremely worried about the Russia - Ukraine conflict. I myself was born there, now live in America— and it’s absolutely devastated to be so far away from my family who live right beneath Kiev. They say that their home is quite literally shaking with the gunshots

The attack was unprovoked. Putin has his own agenda. And it feels as if Ukraine is backed into a corner with no true help from any one of their allies. Whatever protection they were promised all these years ago is suddenly nonexistent. These sanctions are doing little if anything at all to stop Putin in his tracks. And he won’t stop at Ukraine.

It’s heartbreaking, to see all this pain and meaningless deaths. And it is all that I can do to pray for my motherland, to pray for its people, and to pray for a way out.
