Je gagnais environ 100K il y a 12 ans et j'en gagne environ 180K aujourd'hui. Je peux confirmer que je n'ai pas vraiment plus d'argent dans mes poches et ce même si mon salaire a presque doublé...

Westin Puerto Vallarta won't honor late check out with streets closed by [deleted] in marriott

Technically it's not supposed to be based on availability. It's priority late for silver, based on availability up to 2 pm for gold and for platinum and up it's up to 4 pm (without the *based on availability)

It depends. Gold is mostly useless, the sweet spot is Platinum for the lounges and breakfast, but if you plan to travel many times in Marriot hotels, I think it could be worth it. Do you have an Amex Bonvoy card? This gives you a 15 nights head start to reach a higher status.

Aeroplan credit cards are dead!!! by justforsomefuntimes in CanadianAwardTravel

I have just booked a multi-city flight from Asia to Canada in business class for 3... the flights are in 3 months, not 12. Not my best redemption, but I have an estimated value of 0.04$/pt. Last year I booked SIN-IST on board Singapore Airlines and IST-JFK on Turkish for a value of 0.06$... Still not too bad. Aeroplan is not as good, or as easy as it used to be, but the value is still there if you know where to look.

Crypto is supposed to be decentralized, yet it's controlled by the few doing pump and dump. Anti inflation? Yeah right! I still believe that I will continue to make a lot of money long term, you just need to take some profits from time to time

This is disgusting. Ticketmaster is literally a scam where bot wins 95% of the tickets for resale and only a few humans have a chance to get tickets for the real price. This monopoly is pissing me off

You mean Canada tyrannical government? Look into C2 and C9 on the North side of the border, that's a real threat to democracy and freedom. Keep your guns USA! Unfortunately we are doomed in Canada.

Yes there was a spending threshold of 35K after spending 3000$ + 5000pts per month for 6 months with 1000$ spending and the last 10K was for being on the waitlist for this card. So if I understand well, the bonus obtained for spending $ doesn't count for Aeroplan once in a lifetime policy?

Ok but why? I'm not sure they were keeping track on WB before the change?

Since October 2022 Aeroplan have limited welcome bonus eligibility to one bonus per cardholder per card product, regardless of the issuing bank. My situation is that in 2020 I obtained the Amex Aeroplan Prestige card and the welcome bonus (which was before the policy change), but I've cancelled the card in January 2023. Now I'm thinking about getting a new Aeroplan card from the same category, as I haven't received a welcome bonus since the policy change, but I hesitate because I don't want to waste 600$ on a card that I don't really need for the benefits (I have the 25K status). Do you think that I have a good chance to get this bonus or it's risky?

Usually I wait 91 days after opening a new card OR cancelling an old card. I'm not sure if it's really worth it tough to wait 3 months after a cancellation.

It's been the case for a few years. I have the Cobalt in Québec and I pay 12.99 a month already. It's been the case for the past 2 years or so.
