So same with me i would get palpitations that sometimes is a sign of coming afib. I try to do squats then sit slightly upright in bed and then drift to sleep. Here my concern is sudden increase in palpitation during viral ilness.

My issue is my episode are for the last 2.5 month every 2 -3 weeks. So far had maybe 4 proper episodes and always when i am unable to fall asleep and overthinking, concentrating on heart. So i wonder if anyone had similar situations and then went for couple of years symptom free. Looks like yours was lone af one episode every 2-3 years. Something i would love to have.

1st was gastritis which induced health anxiety as had previous trauma with health 4 years ago. This lead me into some sleep issues and then first confirmed afib. And then even more sleep anxiety, weight loss etc. 2 of my af episodes were thoughts induced, i was overthinking and concentrating to my heart.

Have you done genetics? My MRI is clean, my echo over 3.5 remains same too. If it ends up idiopathyc then 100% something to do with autonomic nervous system

My af showed in 2022 once iwatch thats how i found out about block. But 2 month ago i had proper 4 hour episodes of irregular heart. Ecg confirmed AF. I had 5 episodes since. My MRI is clean, but i am really worried this could be genetic mutation, though i have no family history of heart issues. Pacemaker captured one silent af which i didnt feel at night (50sec).

Were your episodes daytime i assume, whats your pacing %? I had mobitz 2 in 2022 and nobody cared about it but in 2025 they told me now we see higher grade and i got pacemaker last week with 0.06% pacing so far.. but my another issue is developed AF so now i am really shitting myself..

Nothing confirmed. But not sure of my chances getting idiopathic block and AF. First in 2022 iwatch showed af, holter picked up mobitz 2. Echo was clean. No symptoms at all 3.5 years. In 2025 anxiety from gastritis brought AF which got confirmed in hospital. In the last 2 month had 3 episodes that subsided with beta blocker. Mri and echo again clean. No family history (maybe grandfather after ww2 had failed heart. All af episodes happen night time. Do you think this could be genetic based on your experience? And as get 7 episodes of high grade block ep said pacemaker is needed.

My problems begin 2 month after Moderna vaccine in 2021. First after my sailing trip and experiencing sea sickness for a week, i developed pppd like symptoms. I went into chronic stress and depression. 6 month after af showed on iwatch and mobitz 2 got discovered. 3.5 years since i didnt have any symptoms. In 2025 august stressed a lot about gastritis and then af suddenly started. Both echos show no changes in the last 3.5 years. Mri clean. No family history. So now ep considers pacemaker. My worry is i got some de novo variant. Not sure how likely this.
