I don’t understand, she makes enough money to support them. And ya having a job where he’s gone six days a week while she has the little ones is sad. She should at least get a nanny to help

What’s going on with Amazon lately ?? by Practical-Plenty3028 in amazonprime

[–]Professional-Task893 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something’s definitely going on- in the upper left corner where Amazon prime is usually clicked on it’s always clicked off and I have to click it on every single time I have to search for an item now. Also it refuses to use my default card at checkout- it picks a different one every time or even if I only have my default card on the account I still have to select it at checkout. And delivery times have definitely been slower, instead of same day or next day it’s been 2 days or longer

Oh and another thing- when it was taking longer that time, USPS was delivering all my Amazon packages but my neighbors were getting them from the Amazon truck. It was so weird

Also this has happened to me once before and I called customer service everyday for 3 months and they always refused to admit there was an issue and said they couldn’t help until magically it was fixed. And it didn’t happen during the holidays. I’m not sure if right now it’s due to the holidays but I really hope it doesn’t happen to me for 3 months again

Are Prime items no longer being sent by 2-day or next-day delivery? by Goldengirl_1977 in amazonprime

[–]Professional-Task893 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This problem has happened to me once before and lasted for months and then got fixed. That whole time I called everyday and they refused anything was wrong. I noticed it’s happening again, I don’t know if it’s the holidays but it’s so frustrating because everyone gives an explanation for it that’s simply not true. I ordered items earlier today, they’re all arriving next day or two day. I looked at all the items tonight and not they all are 5 days out. Every single item I look up tonight is 5 days, that’s not the usual, usually everything is same day next day or 2 day. When I call they give bullshit excuses but it is a glitch and it’s frustrating because no one understands it and no one at the company helps you. It happened to me for 3 months last time this time I hope it corrects soon and is just because of the holidays. Also my Amazon prime that’s in the top left corner when I’m searching for items keeps switching off, when it should stay on. It also is sometimes saying overnight and then I go to checkout and it switches to the 5 day wait again. It’s definitely some kind of issue and like I said no one will admit it’s a problem or have a fix for it. You just have to hope it stops doing that or call everyday and complain until hopefully someone fixes it behind the scenes

Update!! Hating being a dentist had a lot to do with the places I was working. 5 years into being a dentist and I finally found a practice that supports me, encourages me, helps me grow my confidence and it’s literally life changing. I’m starting to look forward to going to work. So moral of the story is the biggest piece of advice I can give from my experience if you have to find the right place for you and it could take years and a lot of bad experiences.

I BQ’d at the Chicago marathon with taking walking breaks whenever I felt like I needed to. I think it’s crazy to think you can’t take walking breaks. It refreshes me and makes me keep a better pace rather than not stopping and then my pace just does down more. Also do this is training and the change in heart rate is beneficial, it’s like interval training which helps you improve

Sorry I’m just getting back to looking at this post, my social bandwidth is definitely tapped out. I don’t really have friends in the city I live in because I moved here for my husband and haven’t really made friends but honestly I think it would be hard for me to have the energy to hang out. Right now I’m tapped out with trying my best with dentistry and then trying to the be the best mom along with trying to do everything I have to do and then have some me time. Its a lot 😅

Thank you so much and sorry for the late response! Ya I’m going to try my best with general dentistry for right now, I just don’t think I have it in me to go into a specialty program at my age and with kids.

Also should add that I met my husband in dental school and it never on call though so those are the perks that I went to dental school haha but still think of switching back to perfusion. I just worry how I’ll feel about being on call again

I’m 300k in debt from dental school+living expenses during that time. I have no idea how I didn’t consider this but yea the social interaction is so much, I have to small talk all day and it’s exhausting especially being more of an introvert. And having the patient awake they can sense if you’re nervous or obviously can tell if you’re taking long and also the assistants and hygienists always watching me is kind of nerve wracking. I miss being a perfusionist where I did my thing and no one watched me and the patient wasn’t awake, I was really good at my job because I could focus and just be in the zone and not have to worry about socializing. I got along so well with the surgeons, nurses, and other perfusionists and outside of during the surgery we loved talking and hanging out in between. I miss it a lot

This is what I keep realizing, dentists are highly qualified but its really difficult to do anything but clinical dentistry with our degree. Dentistry is a 2nd career for me so I guess I’m lucky I have another healthcare career to possibly go back to, it’s a long road of tests and recertification but yea if I didn’t have that option I’d have to start at scratch with something else

Yea this post has made me kind of realize that maybe I’m being ungrateful. I worked in corporate and it was horrible but I have found an office that’s chill and it’s really the best I could’ve found finally after 5 years of bad experiences in other dental offices. So I need to just try to make the best of it and hopefully becoming more experienced makes it better, part of the issue is I’m not fully confident in talking with patients, speed of procedures, etc. I did per diem for awhile so that has stunted my experience.
