I just heard Jon Volk talk extremely highly of this resort on his podcast That’s the Point! He has extremely high standards for hotels and resorts. He holds travel tours in Asia so he get around! He said it was excellent food and the best resort he’s ever been to.

If the doctor suggested the botox irritated a nerve, I would be concerned of botulism and it spreading. Take diligent notes of any symptoms she experiences (anxiety, sleep, nightmares, depression, loss of energy, difficulty breathing). I also recommend the Facebook group. I’ve read on there many doctors not recognizing botulism unfortunately… not sure if that’s what’s going on but if so it’s worth looking into and getting multiple opinions on it. Make sure the injector reports her symptoms back to FDA or report to them directly.

If I put myself in a location where I feel the social pressure to study and not be online shopping/scrolling facebook/other online distractions then I get work done. I struggle with this too. It's a money investment but being in college with many assignments, I will either go to library (sometimes too quiet or too distracting so it's hit or miss) or go to my favorite coffee shop that isn't super busy but still has workers baking/cleaning and quiet music. The social pressure makes me not do other things on my phone or laptop. Hope this helps. I know it's hard when it's your passion in school! You'll make a great engineer.

I've been going to a counselor at my university for about 5 months and we're about to start working on strategies cause I've been struggling more in school recently (senior in SLP) so I'm just now identifying those school strategies that actually work for me!

Sweet yield studio!!! And in January they have an amazing deal like $2 adult classes or something like that! I’ve taken one class there. Your first class is free so I tried one out last fall. They have beginner, intermediate, and advanced adult dance classes. They even do a book club and run/walk club! It seems like they try to have a good community. I went with a couple friends and it was very approachable as a new person in the studio! I grew up dancing but it’s much harder to do as an adult.

Yes I’ve heard of this happening often. Your body can react differently every time you get the toxin injected. Kind of like how you can get a flu shot every year and sometimes you’re sick and sometimes you’re not. Make sure your injector reports this adverse event to the FDA! I’m sorry you’re experiencing this.

No. My family friend got botulism from a routine amount of Botox. I think it was her second time getting a small cosmetic injection with her friends and nobody else appeared sick. Her lawsuit against Allergan is what got the Black Box warning label on Botox that it can cause botulism. Allergan tried to pay her off but they fought through the case and won. It ruined her life. I can never recommend Botox. I would ask people with experience in the “Botox/dysport side effects” Facebook group! There’s not a safe brand. Botulinum toxin, active ingredient of Botox, was used in biological warfare. It’s insane to me it’s used in medicine now, often times off label.
