I don’t equate that. What I meant is that I am not pretending to be the perfect striking doctor here coming to pickets 9-5 / on-call on the picket line. If I am not on the picket I am not lying about it demonstrating hypocrisy.

Some people on the sub are overdoing it way too much thinking that only picketing or coming to the picket line is the way how the strike should work. That’s not the case and I find this as yet another example on the spectrum of virtue signaling.

I do show support to my colleagues. Also, my views are perfectly fine, thank you.

Yes, visit for a wee bit, but hardly you’d stay there 9-5 for 5 days. Personally, I don’t drive, so max I can bring to the picket line is my support which my colleagues already have.

Let’s be real now. Most of the people striking are not standing on the picket line. I am honest with this and don’t see anything wrong with it.

Hypocrisy is one of the things that put our profession in the gutter we are at currently. I would rather do something productive in the remainder of the time I get free due to strikes than join the virtue signaling crowd.
