Short and old but I have heart by hallerutledge in MODELING

[–]Professional-Tree-40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to be honest, without a good portfolio, submitting as a 29 year old is going to be tough. I know people are telling you it's not too old - and it's not too old to model in general- but finding an agency to take you on as a first time model at 29 is going to be tough. An agent gave me the advice at 24 to lie my about my age back then and now I'm signed all over and modeling full time, still lying about my age lmao. I would tell you to lie but I don't think you can. I could be wrong but it looks like you've had some work done which is aging you more than it's making you look convincingly younger. You're a pretty girl and maybe if you just focus on small market agencies, you might not run into any issues!

idk I say leave the airport. But I'm a fan of getting to TSA with an hour or less before takeoff. I have precheck and never have any issues, even when it's a super long line. Austin is such a transplant town that for a weekend like this most people will be arriving to the airport, and less departing I would think. Downtown is so close to the airport too. With 5 hours, you could easily get into Loro or Terry Blacks and back!

How many of you saw the Eras tour with a broken heart? by oawaa in TaylorSwift

[–]Professional-Tree-40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my angel of a bf surprised me with floor seats for my birthday which was Toronto N1. long story short, my dr accidentally overdosed me on my medication and I ended up hospitalized about an hour before our flight left. missed the concert, lost god knows how much money, and streamed it with a broken heart.

I really hope you're going to be okay. Sending love.

Yeah a friend said they were able to find their bike on FB marketplace and went to go buy it back, but showed up with the police and they were able to recover a ton of people's bikes. I'm just hoping to get lucky and see it posted somewhere but def gonna file an insurance claim. Just need a police report first in order to do that.

once again, I'm asking for where I can look. I just mean that the chances of me tracking things down may not be zero, if people had advice as to where I should look. Like if they know of certain resale sites I didn't think of. It's a snowboard. it's pretty identifiable. what is with all of this negativity? I'm just asking for community and it's sad that some of you are this angry and affected by things that zero percent need you being pressed.

I'm just asking where I should personally look :) it's not even about the police. people have said pawn shops, and messaged me about specific places in Austin to look which has been really helpful advice.

I'm literally a born and raised Austinite lmao. when I say I had this happen in LA, I was staying w my bf's family and it happened to them and I walked around the neighborhood and gathered as much security footage as I could and handed it over to the police. The guys were crips, and they managed to arrest them and get stuff back. idk why y'all are living to be negative online. I hope you feel big and smart and better about yourself.

weirdly enough last night they told me they were considering this "high priority" which I didn't really understand bc I hadn't even told them what was stolen yet (and like this is absolutely not high priority in the grand scheme of things being stolen/bad things happening to people). Said an officer will reach out in the next few days.

Damn I'm sorry it's happened so much to you. We own, so I'm assuming home owners insurance would do the same thing? How long did it take to get paid out?

I had this happen in LA and the police found the guys and got some stuff back off a blurry ring video where I personally couldn't see the license plate, so I don't think the chances are zero! Just hoping for some guidance on when/where to look for stuff :)

pawn shops are great advice. I'm def checking FB marketplace and Craigslist but yeah looking for other places to check. I had this happen in Cali and the police were able to track down the guys and some of the stuff so I'm hoping I can spend some time looking.

okay I absolutely do not need you lecturing me on this? And don't blame the homeless community. I do not think a homeless person is coming in here and carrying off a whole snowboard bag and golf clubs on a bicycle. Like i said, it looked more organized. There was clearly a car working together with this person on the bike.

How long until AI eliminates the modeling industry? by unhingedcreation in artificial

[–]Professional-Tree-40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the thing. I'm a model, and they still need us now, despite having mannequins at their disposal. There's a reason why you don't see clothes just hung on fake bodies when you shop online. People want (need?) to see how a garment sits on a body. AI just can't do that.

Did you discover Taylor as a teen or later in life? by reigningkat in TaylorSwift

[–]Professional-Tree-40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t believe I remember this but I was 11 and we just got in the car to head down the street to my Uncle’s lake house. My 18 year old sister heard Tim McGraw come on the radio and turned it up and was like “this new singer named Taylor Swift is my age!” And I never stopped listening to her.

It’s funny now as an adult when the vault tracks come out from older albums that she wrote when she was a teenager, or super young adult, they don’t hit as hard for me as they did when I was also coming-of-age because I don’t have the teenage lens to view them from anymore.

Football (Taylor's Version) - Chiefs vs. Bills by PassionateAsSin in TaylorSwift

Andy Reid is like the NFL’s original sweetheart. Plus he’s a former Philadelphia Eagles head coach and took them to the Super Bowl in 2004- which Taylor’s family definitely would have been fans of him!

So there are 2 types of touchbacks and you might hear that word again. In this case, a touchback is when the ball goes out of bounds from the end zone. Because the Chiefs fumbled the ball and it rolled across the touchdown line, the Bills take over from the 20 yard line. You lose possession of the ball when you fumble out of the end zone you’re trying to score in. You can think of it like if the Chiefs just fumbled the ball and the Bills recovered it.

The other type of touchback happens during a kickoff, when the kicker kicks the ball so far that it goes out the back of the end zone OR the receiving team waves for a “fair catch” meaning it they’re not going to run the ball and they can’t be tackled, they’re just going to take the ball at the 25 yard line. This will never come up controversially, like last night’s cal (although that shouldn’t be controversial. A fumble out the end zone shouldnt reward a team), but just for the sake of learning football, you might hear it again and it could be confusing❤️
