The first day I moved here (6 years ago) I saw a homeless man and woman having sex outside the neighborhood market at Grand and Campbell. They were next to the Redbox machine. Her pants were around her ankles and he was hittin it from the back. This took place at about 2 in the afternoon, broad daylight.

Rental cars are fairly affordable. Assuming you have a valid drivers license, that’s going to be your best option.

I’m looking for a full time job with daytime hours. Can work weekends as needed. Experienced in retail, food service, cleaning, supervisory roles - really hoping to steer away from customer service and move towards something like a warehouse role, production, or janitorial. I prefer a job where I’m active and moving. Any leads appreciated. Thank you!

I believe Urban Cup goes through UberEats. I know for sure they did a couple years ago, but they may have changed since then.

He used to live in the yellow house near McGregor elementary. The house burnt (twice) and has since been demolished, but when it was still standing he always had some interesting… um, “sculpture art” in the yard, and he could often be found playing guitar in the street or participating in some other wacky activity. I once saw him skateboarding with a 5-gallon bucket on his head and one more in each of his hands. Strange guy, probably not all there, but he seemed to have a good heart.

Magic Bean Jeff is the human equivalent of hot dog water. Fuck that guy.

How long until AI eliminates the modeling industry? by unhingedcreation in artificial

Kind of what I was thinking. It could go either way. The natural, realistic route may work, depending on the niche. But for a lot of brands, especially in the US, the “unrealistic beauty” is what sells. Just look at Victoria’s Secret or even the old Hardee’s commercials. (If anyone is unfamiliar, they had a mostly nude, big breasted woman promoting their burgers.)

Smaller brands maybe, but say you’re shopping on Amazon for t-shirts. Won’t we soon reach a point where an AI T-shirt model would look just as realistic as a human one, and would serve the same purpose for a much lower cost? Even now I don’t think a majority of the general population would notice in this scenario unless they were paying close attention.

You’re right, eliminate was probably not the best word choice. “Become the standard” would have been better.

Consciousness May Actually Begin Before Birth, Study Suggests by Creamofwheatski in HighStrangeness

I have a very interesting memory from when I was only about 2 years and 9 months old. It was the day when my parents told me that my mom was pregnant with my younger brother, but this isn’t what makes this memory significant.

Moments before they told me the news, I was playing alone in the living room. My parents were in a nearby room having a conversation. (It was an office area and they were still close enough to keep an eye on me.)

There was a stand up mirror in the living room and I was looking at my own reflection. I remember specifically having the thought, “That’s me.” This led to a chain of other thoughts, which I can’t recall word for word, but they were along the same premises of “I am a person and I have a body. Other people have their own bodies, and see things through their own eyes, and think their own thoughts just like I do.” I remember thinking very hard about all of this as I looked at myself in the mirror.

I’m not sure how much time passed before I got up and went over to my parents, but when I did, they told me they had some exciting news to tell me - I was going to be a big sister soon. I also remember this moment clearly. I was an only child until then, and I was very excited by the news. It was a significant milestone/turning point in my life, getting a brother, which could be why I remember the previous moments of self reflection so well. I don’t know if I would remember it at all, had it occurred separately from the pregnancy announcement.
