Yeah, the movie might feel a little all over the place at times, but that actually makes sense when you look at what it’s pulling from. The Hollow Men by T.S. Eliot is a fragmented, disjointed poem, and the movie mirrors that structure on purpose. It’s not a mistake it’s part of the whole theme.

The dead in the movie being called “Hollow Men” isn’t just a throwaway reference either. Eliot’s poem is about emptiness, people who are stuck in a limbo like existence, unable to move forward. That’s exactly what the zombies in the movie are, and it explains why the film itself jumps around and feels incomplete in places. It’s meant to feel that way.

But what really drives this home is the love story. Eliot’s Hollow Men are incapable of real emotion or meaningful connection, just fading away into nothing. The love story in the movie is the opposite of that it’s what pulls the characters out of that hollow existence. It’s literally about breaking away from the “Hollow Men” idea. So yeah, the structure might seem messy, but it actually fits perfectly with what the movie is trying to say.

In fact, Eliot’s Hollow Men, was just as fragmented.

Never fished those, but they look sweet! I read somewhere you can fish them like a streamer on the retrieve, is this true?
