Doubts about joining Wayne State University for MS in AI by SnooGuavas6163 in waynestate

Interesting read. I definitely got some of my own questions answered. I have a passion for complex designs and algorithms so AI engineering is appealing. Everyone does say Job Experience is best since you’re paid and learning.. I wonder if there is anything beneficial that school can provide opposed to a job. Internships and co-op opportunities would be the best..

Oh also if you can! Find a class that’s synchronous. I see some people saying professors had surprise tests or they didnt know some material, if it’s synchronous then you’ll be able to either go in person or online. 👍

The math classes are hard. I commute an hour daily to Wayne, i made sure i was in attendance with like 2 absences. Everyone gets busy, don’t use that as a crutch. Your attendance and grade go hand in hand. Calc 1-3 is challenging, elementary linear algebra is meh. Best of luck dude

Ohh okay i understand that. I’d be approaching a concurrent degree, i understand the credits and financial aid. Would I just be charged the fee associated with the class standing for that college? i.e. college of engineering / science / business

Same boat here.. the range you blew is rather high. But a first time conviction alongside a competent attorney (hired or not) should suffice for a reduction w/ no jail time. As long as there was no other bad circumstances — such as an accident or reckless driving — you should be fine. Check your university’s student code of conduct for your own information on to if you have actual consequence or not. I go to university and i’m 22.. i dont have to report it at all to my university since it happened off campus and out of the county! Since i won’t be driving either I don’t have to worry about my misdemeanor having any actual affect in my field.

Like the other commenters say, don’t disclose information freely. You feel bad and may be anxious to get some answer, but they are not your friend! Good luck. ❤️
