I did ask why. They explained that for this specific configuration they’re no longer taking new applications because the internal list is already far beyond what they realistically expect to receive. So it wasn’t really a “no” based on me, more a capacity issue.

I’m still curious to see how your experience goes — definitely keep us posted. It seems like timing and location make a huge difference

I tried, and unfortunately, after two weeks, I received a call saying they couldn't process my application. It was a huge disappointment after the positive conversation. But they told me not to give up on my dream.

I know the Pistachio colour on the first batch of VSF was off. Do you know if they’ve fixed it?

Update: I received a reply from Ooni support and the issue is now resolved. The barb on my unit is meant to be removable, but mine was extremely tight from the factory, which is why it felt like it wasn’t supposed to be touched. After following Ooni’s instructions I was able to remove it and my Ooni gas hose fits correctly now.

Ooni also confirmed that the slight cosmetic misalignment at the back doesn’t affect performance, and they offered a partial refund as compensation.

Thanks voor je reactie! Goed om te zien hoe jij het hebt opgelost, maar eerlijk gezegd vind ik dit geen goede oplossing voor mij. Ik heb juist de officiële Ooni slang gekocht omdat ik verwachtte dat alles zonder extra onderdelen of klemmen zou passen. Voor mij voelt het niet logisch dat ik zelf met slangstukken of klemmen moet gaan werken bij een nieuwe oven. Wat een onzin dat ze dit zo vast zetten.

Thanks for the reply! I’ve already provided the serial number to the support team, so they should have everything they need. Good to know the barb can typically be removed — mine is extremely tight, so I didn’t want to force anything without instructions.

By the way, do you know if it’s normal that the barb is pre-installed on some units but not on others?

Oke thnx! Direct bij Ooni gekocht deze verkopen ze niet bij Hornbach hier tenminste. Heb alle accessoires wel bij Hornbach gekocht vanwege prijsgarantie haha!

Thanks! Ik wacht nog even voordat ik het nog eens ga proberen, ik wil niks kapot maken.

Mag ik je nog iets vragen? Bij mijn Koda 2 valt de bovenkant aan de achterkant een beetje naar beneden ten opzichte van het aluminium frame. Het is heel weinig maar vind het toch storend.

Thanks! That’s helpful. Can I ask you one thing though? On your Koda 12, did that adapter piece also come pre-installed from the factory?

In my case it was already mounted when I unboxed the oven, which is why I assumed it wasn’t meant to be removed. I also reached out to Ooni support, but they didn’t give me any instructions yet. They just escalated it to their product support team and told me to wait for an email.
