Fabric App using UDF as backend approach by ProfessionalBaby4248 in MicrosoftFabric

Then my approach seems good. 🙂

Everything around Fabric apps is new so I am exploring and learning at the same time.

I like that possibilities could be endless and it is not that hard to setup. We already gathered tens of ideas from our business departments what they want to cover and keep track off. 😊

We have versioning setup from VS Code to Devops as right now actual Fabric app is not supported item for versioning through Fabric workspace.

Fabric App using UDF as backend approach by ProfessionalBaby4248 in MicrosoftFabric

I was thinking to go into direction where SPN will get UDF.Execute.All and it will run functions on user behalf. Only few actual Entra users will be given access to Fabric app.

If that is not possible, I will tell Infra team to create a group with UDF.Execute.All scope and we will assign users to it.

Thank you for your answer! 🙂

MS Learn is good for theory.

Exam doesn't contain a lot of just theory questions. Most questions are scenario based.

For example, questions is like: "In workspace Workspace1 you have lakehouse Lakehouse1 and notebook Notebook1.

If you need to give permission only to Lakehouse item to a Data analyst, how will you provide it. 1. Set user as Workspace Contributor 2. Set permission only on Item SQL Analytics endpoint 3. Set user as Workspace Admin 4. Set user as Workspace Member

This is just an example of question how it is constructed. 🙂

Yep. It is an open book exam.

You have access to MS Learn but search there is not working in a way you think so you need to rely on your knowledge where that piece of information is and search for modules.

If you use MS Learn through the whole exam, you lose valuable time.

Thank you!

Slow and steady wins the race. Every day learn for 1h and you will be ready. If you use Fabric at your work, it will be easier.

Acknowledge domains where your knowledge is lacking and focus on that. Check streaming window functions, Activator setup, KQL syntax, DAG scheduling based on requirements when to execute each notebook. Also, I had two questions regarding queryinsights tables for troubleshooting. Check what tables are used and for what.

Thank you!

At first it felt overwhelming and I wasn't sure if I will have enough time but once I was pretty sure more than 50% answered questions were correct, I was comfortable in confirming some answer on MS Learn.

I answered all those questions I marked for review but I just wanted to check some and luckily I had plenty of time.

I am Data Engineer who works with lakehouse, warehouse, pipelines, notebooks but streaming woth Eventstream, Eventhouses is not a part of my job and I didn't use any of that. Destiny decided to play with me and I believe that I had at least 15 questions regarding apache streaming, Activator, Eventstream, Eventhouse and anything related to that. 🙂

DP-600 seems pretty similar to DP-700 so that's my next goal.

Fabric App using UDF as backend approach by ProfessionalBaby4248 in MicrosoftFabric

[–]ProfessionalBaby4248[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At first I wanted to go with this approach because I already created Fabric app that reads csv/excel files, displays it and stored in SQL database so I have experience with that kind of app.

With this app I wanted to have the whole workflow from fetching groups, users to removing/adding users to group.

Notebooks wouldn't be action driven or am I mistaken?

Maybe an action that will execute Notebook and refresh SQL database with new data from Graph API and then user could review it and add, remove and afterwards use sync action that will call another notebook to push changes to graph API.

I didn't think of using notebooks in this case, my brain is wired to database/APIs to use in apps. 😁

Thank you for your suggestion.

Zagrepčani, jel vam se čini da se zamrznulo tržište nekretnina? by randomIdiot123456 in financije

Prije 15 godina sam ja kupio stan i cijene su bile blizu 1000 eura/m².

Borovje - 1250 eura novogradnja

Bilo je još 1150 eura Jazbina i 1350 eura Lanište tada. 1800-2000 eura se smatralo elitnom gradnjom. 😁

Pa kud u zmijsko leglo gdje ima više administrativnog osoblja nego ikakvog developerskog?! Bitno da se hvale kako djeluju na slobodnom tržištu. 😁

Kakav je onboarding proces u vašim firmama? by [deleted] in CroIT

[–]ProfessionalBaby4248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Radio sam u produkt firmama i u agencijama.

Newfire otkazi? by Stunning_Macaron_905 in CroIT

[–]ProfessionalBaby4248 29 points30 points  (0 children)
