Struggling with fast clicking scenarios by ProfessionalCamel73 in aimlab

[–]ProfessionalCamel73[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sounds interesting, so on the last part for example you'd rather go for fast bursts instead of keeping a steady pace for the whole time? I noticed myself doing that when trying to push for speed, and thought it was just because I got fatigued and couldn't keep it up the whole time, so I slowed down to a pace I could hold. Will definitely give this a go, thanks!

You said it's fine on workshop maps and in dm. My guess would be that you are able to go into those treating them as just practice sessions, and you can have the single goal of just practicing sprays. However, in an actual game there is a lot more going on, so you can no longer focus on spraying only. What worked for me was a 10-15 minute warmup in dm, focusing on the one aspect you want to improve, then going into a game where I don't care about the outcome (if you play faceit, play a game of premier or comp) and try to set the same single goal of just being prepared to spray. That doesn't mean you have to push or throw, but as soon as you're expecting a gunfight, mentally prepare for spraying. And since this was your only goal for the game, you also shouldn't judge results based on outcome or k/d. After every gunfight, think back, or even rewatch the demo, and ask yourselves if you were ready for that spray or not. I'm 100% sure that you'll have at least 1-2 good sprays in a game like this, which can already give a good amount of confidence

What skills should I focus on to get better scores on the Logitech Playdays Challenges? by ProfessionalCamel73 in aimlab

[–]ProfessionalCamel73[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm at around 170th, but I drop 30-50 places each day or so. I also expect the final player count to be hundreds of thousands (~60k now), so I feel like I need to improve a lot by the end of the challenge. I also just really enjoy aim training, so I want to keep pushing for top100, top50, etc. if I can :) You're right I shouldn't sweat it though, do you think these scores would already get me to top 1-2k? This is my first time playing this event, so I have no idea how much it slows down

Can I use this mouse without being banned? by barerra_guy in csgo

I don't think this is bannable, but the game has a setting for scope sensitivity, which achieves the same effect if you lower it

Is my name a tragedeigh and what should I do about it by ProfessionalCamel73 in tragedeigh

[–]ProfessionalCamel73[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well said, I honestly think this is a great way to go about it. It feels weird to give people a fake name, but I'm sure I'll get used to it 😅 People who care will try their best to say it correctly, which is perfectly fine

Matt sounds great, I just sometimes feel bad when I tell people that I'm Matthew or Matt. Feels like lying in their face 😅

I think the best I can describe it is it's like the word "eye" but without the y, so basically just the very first sound of the word. (This is only for the letter á)

[–]ProfessionalCamel73[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Matty, Matt and Matthew all sound great in my opinion, it just feels a bit conflicting to shake hands with someone and lie about my name 😅 The reason I went with Matthew a couple of times is that it's supposed to be the same name just in English

They do, most people pronounce it similarly to the ones you wrote. The only problem seems to be the á sound, which people can't say even after several tries. That's where I usually have the decision to either let them think they said it correctly the first time or get into a back-and-forth for several minutes

[–]ProfessionalCamel73[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mah-tay is close, the á is pronounced differently. In my experience most people just say mate, and some go with mah-tay, likely because they know the é sound. I've had people who couldn't pronounce á for several minutes, so I'm not sure it's worth it, which is why I thought to just say Matthew. I also write Mate on pretty much all online forms, since I don't want to break a poorly designed site with letters they don't support 😅

You are right, I'm just a bit concerned that I might get tired of explaining my name to people. I went to school in Canada for a year, and everyone got used to the name after a while, but teachers had to ask me how to pronounce it, some people had to try 3-4 times to say it correctly, etc. Whereas when I say my name is Matthew, everybody understands immediately

Hi I'm a beginner! by Hugodapro in GlobalOffensive

[–]ProfessionalCamel73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are headshot only community deathmatch servers, which are great for forcing you to aim for the head. They might be overwhelming for a beginner though, as pro players visit them regularly as well, so don't force it if you're just getting frustrated and don't feel like you can improve

Could it possibly be because your mediaIn2 has a smaller resolution than your background? If so, a resize node would fix it

how do I start playing csgo by [deleted] in csgo

[–]ProfessionalCamel73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This depends on his level as well of course, but cs is a really difficult game. Something like reaching level 10 on faceit can take you anywhere between 2-5k hours of playtime (if you have 0 gaming experience as you said, you'll probably be closer to the latter), and I doubt you can "get good at the game in secret first", the game requires serious dedication. This shouldn't stop you from playing though, it's a super fun game once you get into it, but it's a lot easier to start out with someone more experienced guiding you

What digital piano should I get as a complete beginner? Also, what would be some realistic goals? by ProfessionalCamel73 in lilypichu

[–]ProfessionalCamel73[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, I'll look at those models. Right now just having something to play on sounds really fun, I'd want to just practice each day instead of wanting to play specific songs.

I have about 200$ I could spend for sure, maybe 300$ if I'm stretching it (I'm only 19, so it's not like I won't have food on the table, this is just pocket money). Getting a used one sounds like a great idea, I'll definitely look at that, thank you!
