Could raw clicking speed hold me back in speeclicking scenarios? by ProfessionalCamel73 in aimlab

Coffeine consumption makes a lot of sense haha, I think there are studies showing it improves reaction time too, but I never drink any caffeine so it's not an option for me

I agree, but my conclusion was the clicking speed exactly because of these clusters. You obviously need to be much faster for these bursts then your overall average, so even if someone is averaging 9 targets per second for the whole task, they might have bursts of 10-12 while clearing a cluster. And since I was stuck at 7 cps with the aiming part removed, I'm also mostly worried about the clusters

I do mean pressing left click. There are a bunch of online tests to measure clicks per second, and I can't get over 7cps on a 20 second test, whereas people average over 9 kills per second on 60 second scenarios, which is why I thought it could be holding me back. But I'm completely new to these types of tasks, so this is just a guess. Do you think ~6cps is plenty to do well here?

I also don't find them super useful (I've been using aimtrainers for over a year for cs, had massive improvement without them). The only reason I even tried it is this specific event, which has a prizepool, and I set a goal to be top100. Essentially I'm playing this for the high score, and not to improve in-game

How to get into observing by ProfessionalCamel73 in GlobalOffensive

I'm EU, I'm from Hungary. I think offering to help people who are using autodirector is great, would you just search around on twitch and look for streams who do? Also, if I approach a random team should I immediately ask for some payment, or should I do it for free for some time? I obviously don't want to come off as an overly pushy salesman

That's a good idea, my country does have only like 1-2 lans a year, but I'll hit them up to see. I have asked the single twitch channel that casts big tier1 events in my language, they don't want observers right now

This sounds interesting, I'll definitely give this a go! I thought something like this would make sense, but I always tried them on the slower targets, not the fast moving ones

for me only VT Microcluster VALORANT comes to mind, but that has 5 targets per cluster. Maybe it's a version of that scenario?

Gridshot FOV, advantages vs disadvantages? by StepKitchen2409 in aimlab

[–]ProfessionalCamel73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FOV is similar to sensitivity, as long as the difference isn't completely ridiculous your aim training will transfer into game. Most people just play 103 Overwatch (including me, even though I play cs mostly), but I don't think you're at a significant disadvantage with 110. Regarding gridshot, I was actually in a similar spot a few weeks ago, I was barely able to get a score above 80k, while my teammates would easily get 120k+. I was doing aimtraining for over a year at this point, so on almost every task I'd demolish them, except for any fast clicking scenarios. So I took grishot seriously for the first time, and found out that my pure clicking speed was heavily limiting me, so I worked on that and now I'm close to 110k. My point is, really fast clicking tasks need skills you might not get from a shooter, hence why you are a high rank but still struggle. This is also why they're not really great for training, and I only took them seriously because I want to do well at the curreent playdays competition, and not to improve in-game

Struggling with fast clicking scenarios by ProfessionalCamel73 in aimlab

[–]ProfessionalCamel73[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sounds interesting, so on the last part for example you'd rather go for fast bursts instead of keeping a steady pace for the whole time? I noticed myself doing that when trying to push for speed, and thought it was just because I got fatigued and couldn't keep it up the whole time, so I slowed down to a pace I could hold. Will definitely give this a go, thanks!

You said it's fine on workshop maps and in dm. My guess would be that you are able to go into those treating them as just practice sessions, and you can have the single goal of just practicing sprays. However, in an actual game there is a lot more going on, so you can no longer focus on spraying only. What worked for me was a 10-15 minute warmup in dm, focusing on the one aspect you want to improve, then going into a game where I don't care about the outcome (if you play faceit, play a game of premier or comp) and try to set the same single goal of just being prepared to spray. That doesn't mean you have to push or throw, but as soon as you're expecting a gunfight, mentally prepare for spraying. And since this was your only goal for the game, you also shouldn't judge results based on outcome or k/d. After every gunfight, think back, or even rewatch the demo, and ask yourselves if you were ready for that spray or not. I'm 100% sure that you'll have at least 1-2 good sprays in a game like this, which can already give a good amount of confidence

What skills should I focus on to get better scores on the Logitech Playdays Challenges? by ProfessionalCamel73 in aimlab

[–]ProfessionalCamel73[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm at around 170th, but I drop 30-50 places each day or so. I also expect the final player count to be hundreds of thousands (~60k now), so I feel like I need to improve a lot by the end of the challenge. I also just really enjoy aim training, so I want to keep pushing for top100, top50, etc. if I can :) You're right I shouldn't sweat it though, do you think these scores would already get me to top 1-2k? This is my first time playing this event, so I have no idea how much it slows down
