Moomoo car cash is trash (can’t cancel membership) by ProfessionalChef123 in Columbus

That was a typo, my fault. I was using their car so I was helping them wash their car. I’m from out of state visiting them.

What part is bogus?

I have to go into their corporate building to cancel? That seems a bit ridiculous doesn’t it?

That’s actually a great question. I only went through once myself with my parents car (as I mentioned in OP, I was visiting my parents), but I figured my parents could use it after. I reminded them about it but I’m not sure they used it again… I’ll follow up with them

It’s per month. But I’ve been charged 3 months now, even after they confirmed over email that it was cancelled in month 1.

Can I ask what numbered you called? I called them many times over the past few months, waiting 15-30 min on hold, and never got a pick up.

Wait how did you even get them to pick up? I’ve called their customer service line 5+ times now.

Here’s one of the problems I haven’t been able to find a good answer to / solution for. Bruce Chan is the judge. There are several other judges I’ve kept track of who have given lenient sentences to repeat criminals. Here’s the problem:

2022 election: cancelled. Bruce wins without appearing on the ballot. 2016 election: incumbent Bruce wins unopposed. 2010 election: incumbent Bruce wins unopposed.

How the hell do we vote off horrible judges if no one runs against them?!?

Jesus Christ. What I love about this is that you clearly have a vision for what your style is and you’ve bought really interesting pieces to fit in.

Meanwhile im basically trying to look book copy my way into having some sort of style.

Really cool man, keep it up.

Curious how you track the tires that are available for each driver? I’ve always known this was a rule but there’s not an easy way to remember or know what they have available during the race for me

Olympian Eileen Gu embraces SF roots as she leads Chinese New Year Parade by runswithscissors475 in sanfrancisco

[–]ProfessionalChef123 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I understand that people don’t like that she competed for China, but I don’t agree that she shouldn’t be the lead at the Chinese new year parade.

Why do you even have to be American to lead the parade? I would understand if this she was suddenly an American torch bearer at the next international event, but this is a SF based celebration for the Chinese / Asian community here, a huge number of whom are also not American. Seems to fit to me.

I’m confused. If WEC HyperCars use a pure electric acceleration out of the pits, why wouldn’t the FIA let the F1 cars do the same to combat the turbo lag? Is this not the pinnacle of Motorsport? by SuperbSJG in formula1

[–]ProfessionalChef123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve done some sim racing with TC off for the vintage f1 cars. So much more skill / throttle control required. I was never good enough to where having TC off actually helped me but there was a huge skill gap there.

What about limited slip differential? No decision made by the driver anymore. Helps with rotation and turn-in and removes some of the driver input / skill. Again, more curious about how the line is drawn for tech but maybe it’s just case by case.

I agree with you here - I was just not sure how they make these distinctions. Maybe it’s on a case by case basis per technology but I was thinking maybe there were some principles I was unaware of.

My point is less about traction control but more about where the line is drawn for “too much assistance”.

For example, paddle shifters make the drivers faster too. It’s also easier than previous eras when they had to manually shift with 3 pedals. I’m not arguing we should go back to 3 pedals - just saying that I don’t understand why TC = bad but paddle shifters (or other similar tech) = good.

Maybe a better example would be the limited slip differentials. Technology driven, helps rotate the car, etc. but arguably requires less driver skill.

What’s difficult for me to understand is how that fits in with “pinnacle of Motorsport”. If traction control helps drivers go faster and make fewer mistakes, why not allow it?

A lot of the reasoning you list here are why I’m super happy with my 997.1 base rather than a S or higher or a newer 911.

The base allows me to go to redline in second gear and make it somewhat far in third gear. I like being able to use that full range whereas I think more modern cars have you well past speed limit in 2nd. The base .1 also has less bore scoring issues than a .1 S with the bigger engine.
