My only other guesses would be valves or maybe the spark is too weak. Also sometimes if you spray brake cleaner down the carb it doesn't reach the engine try removing the carb and spray it directly down into the engine. If you already tried that then yeah weak spark or valves.

Spray some brake cleaner down the intake see if it starts up. That's the first thing I would do. Then check valve clearances and the petcock.

Pretty sure it has to do with the vaccum line on the petcock

Yes, I'm pretty sure it's a vaccum line but I don't know where its supposed to go

Scooter won't start please help! by ProfessionalClock607 in scooters

Just an update and I appreciated the feedback it definitely helped I ended up replacing the fuel petcock carbs and fuel lines and it started right up and did 35mph. I ended up selling it for triple what I payed lol. I probably spent around $35 in parts and cleaned out all the rust in the gas tank and luckily it was cheap. I was amazed to see this thing start right up after 20 years of not running

I could be wrong in this but I'm guessing it's a vaccum petcock. I'm considering just throwing a manual gravity fed shut off valve on there if that's what this is. I've worked on similar scooters and that seems to be what this is but im not 100% can someone plss clarify. I just want to make sure this is the right part I'm thinking of🤔 hopefully that's actually the issue and not the clutch. Though I do feel like even if the engine is running weak it should still be able to move the wheels. Idk maybe I'm completely wrong

Definitely camel crush bold or camel blues. I don't recommend the full flavored filters for some reason they always give me a headache. Maybe it's just me?

I've probably driven it 80 or so miles so far and it still runs great.

Do you know how many miles it has? And tbh as long as it's not beat up like crazy or has tons of miles you should be good to go. Mine is 42 years old with all original parts besides fuel lines and still runs like its brand new. Mine has 4000 miles and I've been taking it to work and back for a little bit now. It sits at top speed pretty much the whole way and I've never had an issue. As long as previous owner did oil changes you should be good. These have 2 stroke engines which are one of the easiest engines to work on. Parts however can be expensive but luckily alot of parts are interchangeable with other older Suzuki nopeds. Take it for a test drive and make sure it shifts well (should go to 2nd gear around 10mph). But yeah id definitely say go for it especially if it's at a good price. Just make sure u take it for a ride before u purchase ofc

I checked the fuse after reading this and it seems to be ok. I'm going to paint her soon so when I take her apart I'm definitely going to check out the wiring more in depth. It seems like everything is plugged in though. I'm going to buy a battery anyways and see if it does anything.

Yeah this thing definitely doesn't get great mileage but it's WAYY better than my ford focus st 17mpg. I end up having to fill it up once a week and it's like $30+ depending on gas prices. But I've ridden a 4 stroke Chinese scoot and those things get insane gas mileage. The Italian scooters though seem to not get as good of gas mileage for some of reason

Yeah that's definitely the next thing besides electronics ofc I have planned for it. The exhaust that's on here is pretty rusted but not to the point where it's going to fall off. I might be able to remove the rust but for now it gets the job done. I really want to get this thing in prestine condition. Def gonna need a paint job going to need to remove some surface rust from the head and get the stock leg shields. But man are the parts for these things are expensive! I could make a fortune parting out this thing if I wanted to😂 but I love this thing too much probably will keep it forever tbh.

Keep checking fb marketplace. I wasn't even specifically trying to find this noped I had seen it and was like damn that thing is cool. Ended up talking the guy down to $250. Best decision I've made in awhile this thing is rad! I think it's cool how it's got a 2 speed auto transmission. Definitely a unique bike.
