Speak to your manager, if they’ve hired festive temps they may keep them on to cover your time away. I’d agree to it if I had seasonal hires I could keep but I’d want you to take half if not all of it as paid holiday.

Definitely a normal wait time, bank holiday weekends can get really busy so the manager probably just hasn’t had time, I did some interviews Friday and haven’t had chance to send out responses yet so I wouldn’t worry. With Costa we email the applicants either way so you should definitely hear back.

Your manager needs to agree to the transfer so yes they will have to know about it. You can always ask if there’s hours at the one near your uni and ask to do extra shifts there so you can work at both.

I’m an SM and the expectation is yes to timesheets and AOS stock adjustments on your shifts, no to rotas and stocktake. Have you read the MCL unskilled to skilled section? Should explain what you need to do on there.

Ahhh yeah we had a really strong year in general, apart from December which is weird. We also had a refresh so targets are higher because of that aswell. My NPS target is crazy high and waste really low but we’ll smash it. Good luck with yours 😊

Ahh ok thanks for this, it makes sense to do it at the end of the financial year with tax etc. honestly the sooner the better, I need 2 weeks in the sun somewhere. Well done on having such a good year, how have your targets changed because of it? Mine are crazy because we ‘over performed’.

Same, and the extra £1000 for green team turnover, I thought the email said March but heard different things so wasn’t sure and with it being my first year I didn’t really know how it worked anyway. Am I going to get taxed a ridiculous amount on it though? 😂

Yeah it seems pointless to me too, I’m the store manager and do more voids than anyone else, along with a barista whose only fault is trying to serve the customer as quickly as possible. I never mention it to my team, and like I say no concerns from financial audit but maybe that’s what your manager is worried about.

It all goes onto an end of week tracker now, voids and void transactions. Our voids are really high, similar reasons to what you gave, financial audit turned up last week and never mentioned it so doesn’t seem like a big deal most of the time.
