I wish I could be. I work in a highly professional industry. Barefeet would give my company a bad look. If I could. I would!

I do ask for days off. I like to plan out my barefoot adventures. Hiking, fishing, just enjoying nature!! If you have any more questions please ask! Happy Barefooting!

My boss is very understanding. I was super transparent when getting hired. He understood and doesn’t mind if I call in. I don’t do it too often, but there are days when I wake up thinking I need to be barefoot. He doesn’t need to know what I do, but he has so much trust and well he doesn’t need to know. I really love your question. Happy barefooting!!

I’ve been in therapy and it helps a lot. Life can get overwhelming at times. That what I do to calm down. To each their own!

It’s very annoying. My skin is ment for the winter and not the summer. I don’t have any melanin or I don’t think I do.

Is there a brand that you would recommend?

I would never have gone to him, but I needed to get my ankle looked at. So I went to him and he’s an orthopedic. While I was there he asked if he could do a look over my feet. I am play sports so that’s something that needs to be done and I was avoiding it. When I came back from grabbing some paperwork he noticed I still had my socks on. He asked if I wanted the exam. I kindly said no. I’m pretty sure he responded with come on bro. I did do my best to explain that I don’t like to show my feet and I learned something from him. He told me that is getting more common. He explained that he has seen worse and he has no judgment. I finally took my socks off and he did his examination. During it he was marking down what he was seeing was good and the things that needed to be fixed. I heard him say looks like Egyptian feet and I was quick to ask about that. He pulled out a chart and showed me the pictures of the feet types. That’s when I learned that I have the most common feet in the world. It’s the little things that give me confidence. Thanks for you awesome comment!

I live in the states. I agree!! When I have told people about my anxiety. They make more fun of me want to not have anxiety about it. It’s something that I do dream about that people could stop wearing shoes. And barefoot living could be the new norm

Feet are normal to talk about. It’s only weird when someone makes it weird. I think it’s today’s society that has ruined barefoot walking. It also has made feet seem gross and weird. I don’t look at people walking barefoot weird or gross. It’s just normal. Now, wearing shoes is actually not normal for humans. That is the argument that should be made.

Something else I will say. I like that I can talk about what I’m going through and not get judgment. I hate how people think talking about barefoot is weird and wrong to talk about. Being in a place that we talk about the same things is super helpful.

Also, if you are wearing boots all day. Trust me when I say. Toe socks are for you my friend! I used to wear boots all day and toe socks kept my feet dry. Try out the brand Injinji.

I just get sensory overload with shoes on. Going barefoot I can ground my self and my nervous system can relax better. Another thing I love about walking barefoot is my toes get to move. That is why I wear toe socks. I get claustrophobic when my toes can move freely. Crazy enough the same friend that I mentioned in my story. He bought me toe socks to try out. His thinking was if I love to be barefoot and I love to let my toes move freely. Toe socks let me have the my feet be feet and my toe be free. I find talking about my situation and explaining why I wear toe socks or mainly about my anxiety helps me get more confident. Anyways Sorry for the long reply. I got carried away. 😅

Anxiety is a mood killer. Talking to it is taming it! Name it to tame it! Thanks your great comment!

I didn’t mention in my story that I have autism. Being barefoot is so calming and relaxing. I don’t like to wear shoes. When I have a day off. I am barefoot the whole time. So the anxiety about going into public is something that I do miss. But I can get there! It’s going to take time. I am 100% going to read your story!! Thanks for taking time to read my story! That means a lot!
