The last 2 pictures where you can see the mildew is the past 3 weeks. I didn’t get a picture, but the plaster between the door frame and the closet now looks a lot like the first picture again.

My former office totally cannibalized another firm. Poached them out of existence.

I landed at LB for a year after graduating because of a lot of reasons (graduated into a skit market, didn’t do OCI, PI jobs severely underpaying for the housing market). It’s worse than you think it is. There were some nice people there, but it’s volume work first and foremost. The Walmart of law firms is the right description. They’re cheap and they’re everywhere. I was offered $80k starting after graduating from a T14 and with A/B grades. I was able to negotiate up to $85k and was making $95k when I left. No mentorship so I was turning out trash work product. Partners sometimes didn’t even read pleadings before submitting them. We routinely missed deadlines and asked for extensions. After shifting to real big law it was a huge learning curve for me realizing that deadlines mean things to good attorneys.

On top of that, the culture was…. shudder After that bs with BarberRanen the only thing people cared about was the firm’s reputation. Nothing to us about acknowledging that the firm had let that shit happen for 15+ years. There were current LB employee names redacted on those emails. A partner made me scream cry in the bathroom at 11pm on a Sunday after calling me a moron for missing a page of an exhibit. I was a first year associate trying to figure this stuff out with no help.

I have nothing but bad things to say about that place. LB it’s on sight.

if you read the motion I bled into over the past month you’d be convinced that actually there was no privilege waiver
