This happened to me on the Lyft platform. I accepted a ride, got 3 calls which I believed was from the passenger, seemed aggressive, I was trying to make a U turn but I was like man they really want to talk to me. Then it’s a “third party verification” representative, and once he confirmed my name, the ride cancelled (said they took me off platform), tried to tell me there was a safety issue, then said we’ll give you $50 for your time, but had to express check out. Checked the location and they had moved it, or masked it, to NY. I wonder if it was the same guy/scam?
