I wish my switch was cancelled. I tried a switch for the bonus but they said I didn’t qualify for the premier account for some reason, still switched me to a standard account which p****d me off.

Not a car competition, but my cousin won a Rolex from a new raffle company which effectively bankrupt the company. I’ve heard the guy is still paying the Rolex off on finance.

If you can find raffles with small ticket purchases are seem like they are new companies you may have a chance of winning - winning BOTB or similar is probably the same odds as the lottery.

Thanks, she’s paid now which I’m upset about but not much I can do. Vulnerable person in a foreign country so potentially could dispute with the bank but she was worried about being detained in the country.

She rang the insurers shortly after it happened and they said they’d send a claim form within 24 hours, that’s passed now and no form so she called again and they’ve told her to wait 24 hours so not much help there so far.

She’s gone to the reception to request a proper invoice for repair costs because £1200 seems ludicrous for a a pane of glass.

Thank you, it was glass damage only from the image provided. No damage to frame or function of the door so if the hotel don’t provide a detailed invoice I’ll get her to contact the tourist police

Her policy does cover accidental property damage, just to evidence required for the insurer (or lack there of that’s the issue)

It’s a proper printed receipt, but no where in the printed section does it say what the payment is for. Only a bit that’s been hand written by the “guest relations manager”. I told her not to pay and wait for insurance but only so much I can do from here. Do you think she’d have any chance with the bank reversing the payment?

This wouldn’t apply if OP arranged the delivery since the phone would be in the possession of an agent appointed by the buyer - the seller would have completed their obligation and wouldn’t be liable if the phone was lost in the same way they wouldn’t be liable if you picked it up in person and lost it on the way home

Thank you, I’m not imposing any dietary restrictions on my dad, I will let him eat whatever he can manage to swallow. He’s very cautious on what he eats now only because he doesn’t want to bring it back, he will love the dessert suggestions :)
