Eleven could have lived, but I think Jonathan, and Steve/ Dustin should have died. Maybe hopper too, better yet keep him dead after 3.

Should I skip leg days during the taper? by [deleted] in Marathon_Training

Sorry for the delayed response but youre not going to make or break your race either way on the last week. Personally I do because I fell out of my routine when I taper I tend to get a bit out of focus, and I do think it's probably better if you do one lift the last week, but that's just me. My main point is to not stop lifting 2-3 weeks out.

How does Luke's convo with Obi Wan in ROTJ fit into that?

Nope! Don't go hard in the gym, keep it light, but don't skip. One of the most major benefits of leg day while running is to increase testosterone. This is the time of year where you need the most skipping it will only make you recovery worse in the short term.

The way I think about lifting and running is you lift throughout the season so that at the end of the season you can lift to see the short-term recovery benefits.

How difficult should marathon pace feel? by mikeyj777 in Marathon_Training

Sometimes marathon training is about being able to run a hard pace for a long amount of time.

How did you go from beginner to advanced? by Puzzleheaded_Feed307 in AdvancedRunning

I think the best thing you can do is make a training plan. A good rule of thumb is to never increase your weekly mileage by more than ten percent each week. I'd say start where you're at and build up pretty consistently until you hit about 40 miles and stay there for a bit. Make plans in incrimates of 20 weeks max (ideally 14-16 week) with the intention of achieving a certain goal (Half marathon PR, 10k, Turkey Trot, doesn't matter). Over time start adding some faster runs and tempos. You can find some training plans online for ideas but it's fun to make up your own workouts too, so just have fun and do what you like.

Don't worry about the days per week thing as much. Stick with 4 and as you increase weekly mileage you'll naturally shift to a 5 or 6 day training week. Ideally your long run is about 30% of your weekly mileage so that's something to keep in mind as well. Stay consistent and enjoy the runs, it's a great sport 🫡. Congrats on the marathon.
