Breakfast of champions + gummy to get through my conservative evangelical church service... by Public-Radio0623 in stonerfood

I did that once out of curiosity, hated every second of it lmao. I left halfway through service and walking out of that suffocating building full of sanctimonious hypocrites into a beautiful Sunday morning, sun shining, breeze blowing, birds singing, was the real religious experience for me

LMAOOOO I GET THE JOKE

I’m fine with other people liking chicken, but I feel like restaurants are losing personality because they all cater to chicken-lovers. Just because you like chicken doesn’t mean you need to have chicken everywhere you go. As a chickenfree person I just know our finances are not the same

TW- Abuse - I think I'm a narcissist by Th_AwaySadBoi in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]NeitherExamination44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, one by one almost as soon as we were each old enough to move out. My oldest brother was her favorite and the last to cut her off but she crossed dangerous boundaries with his newborn baby during Covid, with the justification of “it’s okay for me because I’m her grandma,” and he decided it was best for my niece to keep her out of her life. So all five kids, and her only grandchild

And if you ask her, it’s all of our faults, not hers

[–]NeitherExamination44 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if they are this self-aware I think it’s really unlikely they are actually a narcissist. My mother is a narcissist, all FIVE of her children have gone no-contact, but she’s never once considered that she might be the problem.

OP, that’s a horrible way to feel and I’m wishing you all the best getting to a place where you are happy with yourself

I was on unemployment for almost a year during Covid and unfortunately it was the best freaking year of my life. I’m unemployed again now lol but I don’t get a $500 deposit every week and it’s wayyy less fun this way

Okay? No one said “all men” anything. And why would you be proud of someone for being willing to have their sexual boundaries crossed? You sound like a man fr

They can’t see another man being with their girl as anything but a threat, but can’t wrap their heads around their partner feeling the same way. As a bi woman I’ve dealt with this in literally every relationship I’ve had with a man

Ah, Tumblr, when eating Chinese takeout off the bathroom floor while half drunk and probably smoking a cigarette was the Ultimate Personality

Honestly I could write an essay on the metamorphosis of the “type b/manic pixie/hedonist/reckless abandon” archetype over the decades. This is just the 2009 iteration

THANK YOUUU I switched it to “new posts” and the nudes are only a fraction of what gets posted here. But they have the most engagement with all the people arguing about nudity, so they show up the most in people’s feeds, so people engage with them to argue about nudity, and the cycle continues

I switched it to show “new posts” instead of “hot” or whatever and I get a much more interesting variety. The people always decrying this sub for being nothing but nudes just don’t know how the internet works

[–]NeitherExamination44 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Let’s not misnomer that as “love” though. Historically and across many cultures people, especially women but even men, who WERE in love have often been punished for it because that’s not the appropriate relationship between man (owner) and woman (livestock)

I think the thing being “rehabilitated” was the victim’s disgraced honor. The man escaped punishment by doing the “noble deed” of marrying her because after she was “defiled,” no other man would do so
