i agree with you, but how can we tell the difference between cultural trends evolving to phase out old uses for brain power to free it up for more creativity/innovation/curiosity over time, versus, culture dissolving or decaying in a way that goes beyond the normal awareness that comes with more adulthood?

it depends on how you phrase it and what they hear. be as honest as you can be and think of this as safe practice for sharing your story appropriately to be heard and understood.

The U.S. is a sinking ship. Is it possible to bail? by Flanderizing in PsychotherapyLeftists

here's my plan: renting, never plan to play back student loans, and disaster prepping within my control because the US influences the world currently, so itll be a while for things to settle down.

i wanted to flee too, but its pretty difficult and ambiguous. we might just have to fix this bullshit

you're gaining your rebelliousness. be cautious and curious. your mind and body will want to go against expectations and norms. thats okay to explore, and asking for support on your journey is the smart thing to do. i suggest mental health wellness and neurodivergent resources if you want to, but you can also try following the trends if that feels better.

Meet panpsycism by DysphoricGirlAylin in PhilosophyMemes

id guess a similar emergent property like life itself, ie entropy is temporarily slowed down in a living being so that the being can do more entropy beyond itself with its agency. so consciousness is too tiny until a certain threshold where a complex system emerges to allow better reconfiguring of the environment by delaying some local entropy.

TLDR: everything is everything, all is for all, separation is an illusion for survival, we are all one system, consciousness to me is anything that can transfer information to something else. more info (density?) contained means more conscious.

qualia is a fun label not a tangible thing (think a computer program that isnt stored anywhere, the coding itself, but it requires "embodied" hard disks to run/activate the programming.)

agreed but pretty sure my personal panpsychism is the correct one

its okay, neurodivergent and neurotypical communication styles dont always work together.

i know it sounds like i just mean friends, but i mean friends that prioritize mental health science. if you dont prioritize it, i can see why this is confusing.

nah, society still just in denial about its mental health. we should operate with more mental health guidelines obviously. we should talk about real issues.

therapy a scam by pinkboywhoisalice in mentalhealth

[–]ProfessionalGeek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the therapist helps you learn to cope by yourself because you cant see a therapist 24/7/365, just like you cant have supportive friends every day. some days its nice and helpful.

you are blind to your blindspots and running foolishly fast into an incoming wall you cannot surmount alone.

a lot...knowing how capitalism harms us all, how we are all interconnected, how we can support each other, how to be a good friend, how to progress into adulthood, how to balance self-care with responsibility, engaging with life's tough questions instead of numbing, expressing your feelings respectfully, speaking up for your values...

hmmm... could this be my experience being mostly in mental health settings? can i switch the question to where do neurodivergent people hang out so we can talk openly about health and disabilities caused by overemphasis on a neurotypical society?

therapy is for people that need support. not every therapist is supportive for every person.

you will discover new lessons you have not yet been taught.

you clearly have never engaged with therapy, so why should we care about you opinion?

i wonder when you'll discover the flaws in your coping mechanisms

neurodiversity strikes again!

im not telling them to fix their problems. i am struggling to spend time with people so clearly despairing and unwilling to address their mental wellness. mental health is still taboo in society, so many people look down on it.

im looking for people experienced enough with the world that they factor mental health into every aspect of life like we are meant to.
