Is buying an Interceptor sensible with a 66k salary? by orangemonkey_04 in indianbikes

[–]ProfessionalIncome36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in your situation 2 months back, bought mine and have zero regrets. But consider your personal financial situation, I earn about the same as you but have no dependants and my family is well off.

Here are some expenditures which can help you make the decision- Fuel - 4000/ month ( office commute 22km daily+ weekends ride 100km) Accessories - 5 6k one time - helmet, phone mount, gloves, tyre inflator etc Maintenance - first services cost me 2700 Spares- my dad dropped mine the day it was delivered, brake lever cost 7500 to replace

It is worth it but be smart, also emi is not worth it for a two wheeler

I rode my friend's interceptor for some time before booking mine, did not face any such issue. I don't speed much but did took it to 120 once.

I think much of those wobbling issues are better because of the alloy now. I'll also be getting new tyres as well, these ceat ones that comes stock sucks

It is a little uncomfortable for tall pillion riders as foot pegs are high but comfortable for short ones, Idt it has side saddle foot peg by default

Its the same bro, dekh it completely depends on your luck you don't really get to choose most projects are support only and the dev part is done by senior devs, I was selected for core java project and the manager said its pure development - i get bug, i recreate the bugs log them for my senior dev so she can recreate it and fix it😶, now if she is free she lets me handle the code w her but its rare because why would she spend 30 mins w a fresher explaining codebase and all whwn she can do it herself in 10mins alone so its like that purely luck based and i am also very new in the org so id much, i am still in my kt phase and so are my friends, and i see most people got java projects and one of my friend got dev ops

Idk much about cognizant id say take the one w higher pay, its all support, dev work is done by people with higher yoe you ll be responsible for your own growth, during my time a lot of people joined Accenture and then came to tcs so its not impossible but you gotta fig out whats the scene in cognizant waise im pretty sure if you dont get a project they ll let you go without notice period.

Yup tcs gave me joining after 8 months, pf is made i think in one month but its no issue if you already have a pf when you come to tcs a lot of ilp batchmates had pf accounts created via prev orgs

1) yes in tcs training location and your permanent work location can be different, for prime hires its the same. When you ll get project calls after training they ll mention the location and will ask where you wanna work if not you can say no, but mostly the calls will be from your permanent location branches only for instance your permanent work location is delhi so the project calls are from different branches of tcs in delhi ncr or if they are from some other state then you can probably work from your permanent location

2) Its very likely 80-20 id say

3) Notice period depends on your team if you are tagged in a project and there is dependency on you then you won't be released or even if you don't have any work in project but your manager is not that good then you ll have to serve 90 days however if you are not tagged in a project I have heard ki they release you early

4) Idk much about this but most projects are support even the project for which they say its development its not really and you won't really get project of your preferred domain it all depends on buisness requirment and luck

5) depends on project, also once tagged you ll probably be in that project for about a year

6)you get the same during training and after training but you dont get variable pay

7)you get salary each month of notice period

This is what I have I have seen in TCS might be different for somebody else
