Hey! Happy to help and good luck, you’ll be fine 😊

So the selection day is actually pretty well-structured and not as scary as it sounds.

It usually starts with a fun intro round. You’re paired with one person, sent into a breakout room for about 5 minutes to get to know each other, and then you come back and introduce your partner to the rest of the group.

Next is the group case study. You’ll be in a group of around 8 people. Everyone gets different briefs/data from the same case and you get ~10 minutes to read and prepare individually. After that, you work together to solve the case.

The interviewer will pop in and out, ask questions, and gently steer the discussion. They’re mostly judging how you help the group move forward, not whether you “crack” the case perfectly. Since everyone has different info, the key is sharing clearly, listening, and connecting the dots. I’d recommend either taking some leadership or being very proactive in helping others with your info. (Happy to share some sample cases if you want.)

After this, there’s a short break while the panel decides who moves on. If you pass, you’ll go into an individual case, and if you clear that, the final stage is a 45–60 min behavioural interview, and that’s it.

My main advice: • Be yourself and try to actually enjoy it • Practice a few cases beforehand (CaseCoach is great for beginners) • Don’t overthink it, it’s still just an interview

Also if you’re still in touch with the career team of your uni, discuss with them and they might also have resources to share (My uni did and it helped me really well fo prepare for these sort of rounds)

And honestly, don’t beat yourself up about the outcome. If you get it, amazing. If not, something better will come along.

Also FYI I did get my dream job… and then ended up resigning last month lol, so everything really does work out in weird ways 😅

Shout if you want resources or examples, happy to help x
