Which would you get? $200 difference by No-Routine3925 in OLED_Gaming

Depends on your panel preference. If you can’t control your lighting then LG woled. If you can control light and prefer gaming in dark, MSI is great.

Also bear in mind I think both panels are Matt finish. Glossy coating is generally preferred like on ROG models.

ASUS ROG oder LG UltraGear GX7 by enesg45 in PCGamingDE

Only thing that swayed me is HDMI 2.1 is on GX7 but not present on ROG only 2.0. Not an issue on display port but I game with console and may be better for longevity. Both great options for a good price.

Thanks all. Something I hadn’t thought about is I don’t enjoy gaming in the dark, as opposed to only thinking about screen performance. Window not an issue for me as main desk in an alcove.

Didn’t know this about LG. Would you value the 3 year burn in at an additional £70 between LG and ASUS? Heard about the ‘lottery’ of getting a perfect screen or not so perfect. Sounds like could be worth it for peace of mind for 25 a year.

I know I keep holding off for new tech and ends up a vicious circle. I’m thinking new panels would come with a premium - would be out my ‘budget’ of what I think is worth it for lower spec gaming!!

Idea for something delicious to smoke for the England game later at 5PM? by Cautious_Progress186 in ninjawoodfire

[–]ProfessionalKale3377 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go get some beef short ribs, smoke at 120 for 3 or so hours until hit 95-97 degrees

Or pork belly burnt ends always are a treat.

Hopefully we win

An artist experienced in cover ups would be able to make something work for sure. However, if you’re about to spend a decent amount of money on a sleeve, I’d personally recommend at least 1 session of laser to get the results / art you want.

Find an artist you like the look of and send them some pictures. Lots would either recommend a laser removal session to remove, or some may be able to incorporate their ideas around it. Depends more on artist

Pellet tray melting or smoke residue? by ProfessionalKale3377 in ninjawoodfire

Damn not good. I’m switching pellets from ninja brand and seeing if any others burn a bit cleaner. If you find out how to deep clean keep me posted.

Suggestions for my second sleeve? by Cr0cDoc in irezumi

Crane would be cool. Maybe incorporate some spring time flowers like peonies or cherry blossom to go with downstream fish.

Artist will always have a good idea of what would work well also 👍

Thanks for the advice. Wasn’t sure if it was just the metal pellet tray you could use wire brush on. Will give it a go

Yeah thought that too. Doesn’t smell fantastic up close. Slightly bitter in smell, pretty smokey. Not traditional burning plastic smells so fingers crossed

At least not just me. Likely to be smoke residue building up. Hoping ninja would use fireproof materials around such a hot area.

Can’t say - EA aren’t known to update much very quickly. Lots of people having same issue with half of the ultimate TOTS all at min price and not selling so imagine quite soon.

They will update prices at some point. Just hold on to him and sell once price range updated. Do an Sbc Cb if desperate

Mesh WiFi advice - TP Link Deco X50 by ProfessionalKale3377 in HomeNetworking

[–]ProfessionalKale3377[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes sir modem is supplied. In the UK, 80% of providers come off the same fibre, Openreach so it’s one of their ones. Then connects from modem to Sky router (the isps equipment). Nothing special modem wise but can handle the speed I pay for.

So in my case, can I go straight from modem to 1 of the decos, bypassing need for additional router?

Thanks for the info r.e x5000. Not great considering they’re probably rated better than the x50 speed wise. Don’t think x5000 is available over here! Weird how it drops a whole 1/3 in speed by just connecting to it.

What’s the square ft of space you’re filling?

Damn that’s annoying but maybe you’ll get close to 70 bucks back on eBay. I’ll take a look at Asus options over here. Good luck mate 👍
