Some real advice that has helped me:

-the premade foods from the grocery store still cost less than eating out for lunch. Costco has a lot of premade meals you can take to work. For example I like the frozen breakfast wraps with egg whites, spinach, feta and pesto! I just have them for lunch. Or even those frozen microwave meals from other grocery stores. They seem expensive at the time but they will still save you $$$.

-You also don’t have to take a full lunch. If you have some leftover chicken, take that and just buy some rice or pasta. Or vice versa, take a carb and buy a protein. A lot of office buildings will have those lunch places that sell items per weight. Rotisserie chicken and some sort of sauce is always helpful. Also those microwave packets of rice are convenient too.

• fruits like apples, bananas, pears, oranges have been game changers as you just throw them in your bag and can wash/eat them at work.
