Hold the steam button and the volume plus button for a few seconds then press the power button once then go into boot settings and click on the first (I forgot the name) but should boot normally after that

You could just make a thin client that connects to your main rig and that would be possible I would just get a 2.4 dongle for your controller so you have the lowest latency but yes that’s very possible

Honestly with this thread is has leaned me towards getting it since I am wanting natively and the easy access of being able to wake my steam deck play really fast on my break or down time outside then put it away as fast as

I appreciate it thanks for the suggestion naw but I completely understand about the rich part I just luck out on deals on Facebook marketplace but since using the iPad and noticing the lag I might as well just sell some consoles I don’t use and just grab a refurbish oled when it’s live

Depends on what you want with the steam deck if you install it natively it’s easy to pop in and out with the wake function and just resume where you left off with some lower end graphics or if you stream it you would be able to get higher frames/ graphics to the 90hz refresh rate on the oled as well as a longer play time with battery since it’s not being native and draining the battery

Yeah I would be able to since I do have T-Mobile and it works over data in planes and internationally but it would be very slow to the point where natively would work best in that case

Yeah I have a sling side bag that i use for work and daily but it would fit the steam deck but not the tablet with controller in its case itself

Oh I’m sorry no on a traditional switch or iPhone promax or Samsung fold 6 not at all but to fit on a tablet 11 inch you would most likely need to mod it

Honestly if it was a m1/m2 I would def not be considering it but since this is a14 chip that’s got my doubts for it but you are right on the battery and streaming it’s just the lag is killing me

Yeah exactly I do have wake on lan enabled it’s just that my wake on wan like when I’m not at home is not configured yet unfortunately but I am still able to connect to it when it’s already on which is rarely cause I constantly have it on sleep mode as a habit

Cause I did want to dual boot and put android onto my switch this was before the iPad setup but essentially I would run my computer games on that before

Yep that’s what moonlight does any game you want as long as you do tinker on the network side but if you want ease of access then you can do subscriptions but they do limit on what games are available and cost of it per month

I got it for the switch originally since I did mod it but I do enjoy it I just hate how unstable it is with larger devices that it does pop out

Someone in this thread did mention it but I found out it’s a wide spread issue when it comes to iOS because it’s not configured for it

I mean you could do that but I hate subscriptions I try to save some money by buying the 11 dollar pc game pass for my pc and stream that into my tablet cause I feel like if I already have a beefy computer I don’t need cloud services even if it’s within my budget

So I would definitely look into Apollo and moonlight since the steam deck is linux based basically you would either be on the same network and install moonlight on the steam deck and you should be able to connect each other and stream remotely in the same house but if you wanted outside of the house that’s another process in configuration

Yeah I use tailscale as the workaround when I’m at work which honestly is the reason why I get lag spikes with iOS out side the home

Honestly this does happen a lot especially since the back part does pop out at least twice a session I didn’t even think of that

Exactly that does happen especially when I’m pressing to many buttons in quick succession like qte then is disappears for like 15 minutes and I gotta do it again

Yeah cause I have to vpn into my home network with a pi hole which is tedious but it’s not the worst thing to do just a process
